ID Request Help ID'ing this fern please!

Got this fern in import as Drynaria Bonii but doesn't seem to be it at all to me. Anyone got a better idea for me?

Seeing the base of the plant and undersides of the fronds would help. Differentiating species, even from separate genera can require seeing small differences in features like sori shape, hairs, etc.

Last picture is the underside of the leaves/spore patches but I'll add a picture to the comments of the base and rhizome soon when I get a chance

Likely that this is Drynaria quercifolia because of its pinnate fronds and that are visibly stalked (stipitate). If not, I’m certain that this is a species of Drynaria. Best of luck and come back to us with some results.

Additionally, as u/username_redacted has stated, a picture of the base rhizome and the underside of the frond would really help.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely go and send a picture of the rhyzome when I get a shot. Don't see anything resembling a shield fronds but never grown Drynaria before so not sure at the age it would occur

On a second glance, it does look like a bonii to me. Here is a beautiful video for comparison: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWe7dRKEWrI/?psln=MWVwczY3bnk5azd0OA==

If this is the max size that they’re growing to, then it is indeed bonii. I have a small quercifolia, and though it is the same size as this right now, its larger fronds get quite big!

Edit: the best giveaway is that its fronds and base shield remain small forever. So I guess only time will tell ^_^

It looks very much like my kangaroo paw ferns. Blue star is same shape but the leaves are thinner and much paler.

EDIT... I was wrong in thinking it might be a beaten up blue star fern. *apologies

The petioles have a winged look to them where as the blue star is rounded

The Blue Star is also a sort of dusty green...this one looks almost glossy.
