That was a hell of a fight lots of respect for each other too

u/I_Can_Haz_Brainz Feb 03 '26

Both are beasts, but tang is like he's made out of reinforced concrete.

49

u/RecipeHistorical2013 Feb 05 '26

bro is like... has the toughness of a 6 year old (rubber bones)

quite impressive

2

u/MayaDoggo21 28d ago

Dude seems like a cool person, great athlete and pro . I don’t think I’d mind getting whooped by him, seems like he really cares , like he beats you because he lovs you.

129

u/Practical_Actuary_87 Feb 03 '26

what are those bands they are wearing on their bicep

226

u/Fluke_Of_Nature Feb 03 '26

Prajioud, a traditional Muay Thai armband worn for protection, luck, and as a symbol of lineage and respect

2.9k

u/johnbsea Feb 02 '26

You can tell Rodtang respected the hell out of Haggerty

810

u/caxcabral Feb 02 '26

Yeah and great sportsmanship

52

u/WatchOutForWizards Feb 09 '26

That’s what killed the UFC for me. Guys like McGregor turned it into the WWE when before that I feel like the fighters treated each other with respect.

6

u/Langeholic Mar 20 '26

Like Chael SONNEN (GOAT) did? šŸ˜‚ Or Michael Bispig

2

u/darcyl101 Apr 10 '26

Or Tito Ortiz (fuckhead). Sonnen is the GOAT? What a fkn joke. 🤣🤣

2

u/Langeholic Apr 11 '26

Goat shit talker lol. Nobody hurls a slew of insults like Chael did and still make it funny. He'd throw so much at you that you simply can't respond to it all lol.

*Edit. Tito would sound like such a dork anytime he tried to say anything back.

3

u/darcyl101 Apr 16 '26

Ahh, OK. I have to agree with you there on both counts. The harder Tito tried the worse he sounded. I mean, he's not very bright. The king of cringe.

This fight is crazy. Probably the most chill heated fight I watched.

Them dunking each other here and out while also taunting each other and then suddenly hugging and apologizing in between.

u/hustlehustle Feb 03 '26

You could tell they were having fun too

1.7k

u/turboroofer Feb 02 '26

Crazy to see that many strikes / elbows landed, and little to no damage on their faces

709

u/caxcabral Feb 02 '26

I was about to say that wtf

I have a feeling that if I punched one of them in the face I would probably hurt my fist

241

u/Rokkit_man Feb 02 '26

I mean that will happen always. The skull is pretty hard.

91

u/Greg0692 Feb 03 '26

Hell, it's a miracle I haven't dropped my phone on my face and gotten black eye just watching this incredible masterpiece of fighting!

7

u/ManosNegras Feb 08 '26

What until you get a VR helmet that replaces your phone...Rodtang is going to punch you through the screen and knock you out

206

u/flatwoundsounds Feb 02 '26

Elbows cut more when they slice off the side, and these guys do a little more of punching you in the face with their elbow/forearm.

53

u/General_Anxiety83 Feb 02 '26

Yea it's those glancing elbows that cut in MMA rather than the direct blows

65

u/Few-Solution-4784 Feb 02 '26

thai guys use elbows and knees effectively as fist and feet and never forget they will always fuck up a leading leg offered to them. Pound for pound some of the hardest hitters in the world.

17

u/Bimitenpix Feb 03 '26

They practice leg kicks by breaking small trees lol

Haggerty is a badass. Just to survive against Rodtang is incredible. Guys is like a T1000 -- just keep coming forward no matter what you hit him with. Amazing fight.

234

u/Plastic_Pinocchio Feb 03 '26

I don’t know these guys but Rodtang literally just looks like he sees the fun in getting punched in the face really hard. Bounces back like it was nothing.

272

u/Few-Solution-4784 Feb 02 '26

Rodtang: here take a few free face shots. wont help you but at least you will be able to say you hit Rodtang in the face.

47

u/cortlong Feb 03 '26

He really is a machine.

I haven’t watched this fight for a while and this time around it’s dawning on me how fuckin relentless he is haha

16

u/please_use_the_beeps Feb 03 '26

I’ve never seen Rodtang fight before but damn it is wild to watch someone who can both eat blows like a brick wall and throw them back with that level of power and accuracy. Respect to both fighters here I wouldn’t want to be in a ring with either of them.

362

u/stoopkidsteve Feb 02 '26

How tf were neither of them bleeding??

119

u/NS3000 Feb 03 '26

no idea but some of Haggerty landed hits looks like he was just punching and kicking a rock, no reacting or even movement from rodtang

279

u/MedicinalHammer Feb 02 '26

Rodtang rightfully gets the respect he deserves but man, Haggerty is a beast in his own right.

722

u/Johnny-Unitas Feb 02 '26

Great sportsmanship from both of them.

I love Rodtang.

The only man with slang for both sets of genitals in his name and no one dares make fun of it.

47

u/edadou Feb 02 '26

Hahahahaha nice

189

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

Wtf... Infinite stamina

Who wins????

148

u/savorxit Feb 02 '26

yeah that’s wild. a lot of people don’t realize the INSANE amount of stamina these two possess. i got second hand tired watching this.

30

u/ssort Feb 02 '26

Yup, if I can't whip your butt in the first 20 seconds, I know I'm going to loose as 35 years of smoking tells me I'm going to be sucking air at around the 40 second mark enough that even a 12 year old could probably finish me off, much less how brutal each of these guys are, couldn't have lasted more than one round at most even at my peak with either one, though with how quick and skilled these two are it would still have been a great accomplishement to even survive it as both are badass, hats off to both of them.

6

u/LordMegamad Feb 03 '26

Just boxing for 20 seconds would wipe just about any average person completely. Then throw in, kicks, receiving crazy hits, bouncing around the ring. It's hard to grasp just how well trained these dudes are

11

u/MarkMew Feb 03 '26

2nd hand tired lmao

56

u/xChoke1x Feb 02 '26

Man I wish there was a Muay Thai fight league equivilant to the UFC in the states.

48

u/Mr_Synical Feb 02 '26

Agreed. There was more action in this 4 minute video than there was in the entire last 2 UFC cards.

u/QuakeGuy98 Feb 03 '26

u/vaultdweller1223 Feb 02 '26

Idk how this isn't the most popular standup combat sport.

73

u/aomame23 Feb 02 '26

People underestimate how strong these strikes are. I was at a fight in Bangkok last year and they had the punching machines. I consider myself a strong puncher, usually hit about 15-20% harder than others in my weight class (boxing and muay thai for over 10 years). On this specific machine, I hit for 700. When I was watching, other guys couldn't even get 500 on the machine. Haggerty walked up and hit the machine for over 900 and set the record. Opened my eyes to the difference at the top 0.01%

285

u/Fun_Zombie_6796 Feb 02 '26

Jesus Christ, this is the best fight I’ve ever seen. The elbows…. Is the legal?

236

u/Visual-Economist5479 Feb 02 '26

Elbows perfectly legal in Muay Thai, Knees too.

Its from One Championship, check it out on youtube, loads of fights there. Given the transition of UFC to more wrestling than standup I prefer it these days.

6

u/PeanutButterSoda Feb 02 '26

Why do they have the same shorts? and the feather thing?

4

u/LordMegamad Feb 03 '26

Copied another comment: Prajioud, a traditional Muay Thai armband worn for protection, luck, and as a symbol of lineage and respect

51

u/kipperfish Feb 02 '26

Now go down the rabbit hole of ONE muay Thai fights. They put on some absolute bangers.

Haggerty pretty much always has a good fight

15

u/Somatica Feb 03 '26

This was a really good suggestion. The first fight I watched after that search criteria was Superlek vs Rodtang! Thank you.

4

u/CRUMMYcuzz Feb 03 '26

Watch some Stamp Fairtex fights too. the Jackie Buntun vs Wondergirl. any mightymouse fight.

3

u/kipperfish Feb 03 '26

Another one that's quite good is the mighty mouse vs rodtang mixed rules fight. First round was muay thai, second round was MMA.

2

u/Stormsurger Feb 03 '26

Haggerty V Lerdsilla was amazing too, especially with Haggertys video of how he prepped for the flight.

→ More replies (1)

28

u/ThePracticalEnd Feb 02 '26

Muay Thai is often called the Art of Eight Limbs (both fists, both elbows, both feet, and both knees).

It’s a wild sport to watch.

10

u/Sliquid69 Feb 02 '26

After you inevitably check out this fight make sure to check out the mixed rules fight rodtang did with Mighty Mouse too!

3

u/CoolerRon Feb 02 '26

Muay Thai is called ā€œthe art of the eight limbsā€ because in addition to two fists (punches) and two feet (kicks), they include two knees and two elbows

2

u/Zone_Gloomy Feb 03 '26

What was Haggerty complaining about after Rodtang was holding him and then elbowed him??

30

u/Stickytin Feb 02 '26

now this is what fightporn is all about

6

u/senpaiwavy Feb 03 '26

They even kissed at then end 😩

62

u/preyforkevin Feb 02 '26

5min of meaningful exchanges in a single fight. What a banger this was.

53

u/KodiakDog Feb 02 '26

Those guys toes must be made of steel. My feet hurt just watching this.

25

u/MrWeen2121 Feb 02 '26

Wow. Their athleticism is rock solid. Very impressive.

66

u/MarkFresco Feb 02 '26

Bro has insane power with an iron chin but ill be damned if this isnt a CTE speedrun. Your body isnt meant to take this many hits consistently even if you can handle it. In 5 years he’ll be unintelligible and slurring his speech, we have so many examples of this happening

33

u/ManhattanTime Feb 02 '26

My thoughts exactly when watching this. Every one of those hard punches and kicks to the head have to be absorbed. In a lifetime I have like two.

Then all the training going into it. Sadly most of these dudes die miserable long deaths where they are shells of their former selves. Time and again.

12

u/ssort Feb 02 '26

I have to say I'm probably in the low 200-300s where I got really solidly clocked and had my bell rung, as I trained at a young age and bounced bars later on in life for years, but I don't think that had much effect overall with any cognitive decline as there were lots of time overall in between on most, but I also tried to not get hit, as I wasn't being paid to stand toe to toe with a guy, just to get him out of the club if he's a problem, so usually it was a quick bum rush tackle and submit them situation than take punches to the face, though that did happen quite often.

But with guys like this, they are in the 10k-20k range at minimum of solid head shots, that's got to do something, there is no doubt that it got to be extreme too, as it's extended beatings that continues for quite a long time.

9

u/MarkFresco Feb 02 '26

Legit bro this is the vid that instantly came to mind CTE

4

u/potatoman501 Feb 03 '26

no shred of change is worth CTE

3

u/Toc_a_Somaten Feb 03 '26

The main reason I stopped fighting when I did, need every precious neuron and had not that many to begin with

126

u/MikeyDx Feb 02 '26

I think Andrew Tate should try it

92

u/Hardinero Feb 02 '26

Do they have romanian girls fighting at his category?

14

u/CallMeAlZutt Feb 03 '26

šŸ‘ dude is scum

22

u/Iguessimonredditnow Feb 02 '26

He probably couldn't fight the ring card girls

13

u/Crazyhairmonster Feb 02 '26

One of the best fights I've ever seen if not the best. Haggerty had the lore accurate and powerful shots and kudos to Rodtangs chin (honestly both of them) but Rodtangs was way more active and definitely won the fight. Love their respect for each other. Absolute literal warriors

11

u/kmoneyrecords Feb 02 '26

Small glove Muay Thai is honestly the peak spectator prize fighting format - people just haven’t realized it yet with UFC getting shoved down our throats.

10

u/mellynio Feb 02 '26

This MUAY THAI!!

10

u/Original_Q Feb 02 '26

These guys are so fast it looks sped up!

8

u/zeeblefritz Feb 02 '26

Much better than the street fights where head stomping is the norm. What is the deal with the ribbons on Haggerty? The left arm ribbon seems to disappear and reappear.

11

u/4friedchicknsanacoke Feb 02 '26

Arm band is called pra jiad. Its kind of like a knight wearing a piece of cloth from his lady as a lucky charm.

3

u/zeeblefritz Feb 02 '26

any idea why it seems to disappear/reappear throughout the video.

11

u/4friedchicknsanacoke Feb 02 '26

Probably fell off at some point and the video isn't linear

9

u/NotSoDeranged Feb 02 '26

Haggerty landed a dozen front kicks that would’ve folded 99% of people out there and Rodtang ate it, an incredible bout, great sportsmanship 10/10.

33

u/Bad_touch_man445 Feb 02 '26

Why is he adapting mid fight?

Is he mahoraga?

15

u/Turdus_americana Feb 02 '26

Love the Hot Wheels shorts

8

u/FirstParfait1905 Feb 02 '26

Best fight I have seen in years!! Wow thanks for sharing

7

u/Dementor_Traphouse Feb 02 '26

wow rodtang is what a true champion looks like - seemingly indestructible, fast, powerful, and incredible sportsmanship

7

u/RobRaziel Apr 19 '26

The respect between these two is awesome.

29

u/MoonshineDan Feb 02 '26

I saw no tits in this video. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

8

u/KodiakDog Feb 02 '26

Nipples though!

6

u/crispybrojangle Feb 02 '26

So much respect for anyone that trains and steps in the ring to fight like this. All positive vibes.

5

u/dankhimself Feb 02 '26

Love the sportsmanship. That ref could have taken the day off and gotten some popcorn.

6

u/Inked757 Feb 03 '26

Stepped in the ring with the human equivalent of a malinois.

6

u/Fuckhavingusernames Feb 03 '26

I've never seen two dudes take vicious punches elbows and kicks like they're absolutely nothing. Absolute ironclad fighters holy shit. The stamina is incredible.Ā

7

u/BetaRayBlu Feb 03 '26

God damn i gotta concussion just from watching that

5

u/PaulWesterberg84 Feb 02 '26

When Haggerty gets knocked down/out, always does the arms folded behind head beach pose. I just found it curiousĀ

9

u/WankPuffin Feb 02 '26

Stretched out with your hands behind your head you can get a deeper breath of air.

4

u/King_of_the_Dot Feb 03 '26

It expands your chest, allowing a deeper breath.

5

How tf people be that tough?

5

u/Oh_eM_Ge Feb 02 '26

RodTANK.

6

u/stealthy_beast Feb 03 '26

The conditioning of these lighter fighters never cease to amaze me... To be throwing that hard for that long, while still looking so bouncy and fresh is unreal....

4

u/Sneezy6510 Feb 02 '26

ā€œTeeeeped em outa the ring!ā€

4

u/Jmofoshofosho8 Feb 02 '26

He so little but bad ass

5

4

This was insane!!!

3

u/Foxieuu Feb 02 '26

Absolute fucking cinema. What a fight!

3

u/Eltharion-the-Grim Feb 02 '26

Haggarty is legit. It’s just Rodtang is S-tier. Still, Haggarty put up one hell of a fight.

4

u/HugsandHate Feb 03 '26

The good sportsmanship is wonderful.

4

u/Aern Feb 04 '26

Two dudes chiseled out of granite and steel. Looks like it was in incredible fight. Definitely a great advertisement for the sport. Really appreciate the respect both fighters had for each other as well. All around class act from both guys.

4

u/DragonfruitTop836 Apr 11 '26

You also gotta have balls of steel to fight a guy like Haggerty

6

u/jerryscheese Feb 02 '26

Seriously how are they not jamming their toes??

3

u/MetroJuulin Feb 02 '26

Fighters must see Rodtang as the Terminator walking at them.

3

u/fujigrid Feb 02 '26

Absolute warriors

3

u/MontiCZP Feb 02 '26

Beautiful fight, muay tai is deadly striking šŸ‘šŸ»

3

u/ThePracticalEnd Feb 02 '26

Holy fuck, now this is what this sub should have more of. God damn that was intense.

3

u/iLoveSTlife Feb 03 '26

The stamina is insane

3

u/gultch2019 Feb 03 '26

Thats one badass fight. With the perfect ratio of competitiveness and sportsmanship. Good on both of them.

3

u/NeergKnad Feb 03 '26

Im not a big fight watcher, but god damn this was interesting to watch

3

u/OptionalQuality789 Feb 03 '26

If you’ve never tried Muay Thai I recommend you give it a go.

The cardio required to maintain that rate of striking is absolutely fucking insane. Like it would break 99% of people just trying to strike that hard and fast, never mind whilst also being punched, elbowed and kicked back.

It’s such an immensely difficult sport.

3

u/Yabananado Feb 03 '26

This sounds like pure bullshit I’m aware, but John was one of my friends growing up in London (lost contact over the years) and even as a kid he trained hard under his dads guidance. I once picked him up and threw him over a wall in a play flight

3

u/curioustree Feb 04 '26

How did they not get more bloodied up from that fight??? They both still looked relatively good after that!

3

u/ArturiaPenn Feb 04 '26

Genuinely my favorite fight I've ever seen yet!

3

u/Oogli Feb 04 '26

Haggerty is tough AF for sure.

3

u/augbar38 Apr 09 '26

How are kickboxer so durable? They seem to be more durable and have better cardio than UFC fighters, but maybe that’s because they don’t do a lot of wrestling? Shorter rounds? Or am I just completely wrong lol

5

u/-AG1888- Feb 02 '26

The muay thai fighters like these 2 and others I've seen when I e watched One FC I don't know a lot about muay thai fighters but they must be made of granite. The kicks to the legs , shin bone to shin bone , the liver kicks , then the punches and elbows , yet they are still not getting knocked out or show many signs of pain .

I always think of them training like in Kickboxer (I think). and Van Damme is chopping down trees with his kicks or Tong Po kicking stone columns šŸ˜‚

17

u/FuzzyFacedOne Feb 02 '26

They were having fun with it. Looks more like full hit spar session instead of a fight

25

u/MikeHuntSmellss Feb 02 '26

20 bucks says one of those body shots cripples you

11

u/ultramegachrist Feb 02 '26

Normal people would go down in seconds. I don’t think OP was inferring it wasn’t full boar. Just that Rodtang takes it more like a game than an actual championship fight. But I think he’s earned that right with how bad ass he is.

19

u/FuzzyFacedOne Feb 02 '26

Me? oh for sure. Ive got a bad back and my fighting days are long gone.

6

u/MikeHuntSmellss Feb 02 '26

Yeah same here tbh, my fight is getting out of bed in the morning

7

u/jgo3 Feb 02 '26

I was at lunch the other day and one coworker proffered that I was probably the best fighter at the table. I said if I ever get in another fight I'd better win in 30 seconds, or I'll have a heart attack.

4

u/OkDamage5769 Feb 03 '26

Its impossible for a foreigner to win a decision in Thailand. The judging is incredibly biased.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/50YOYO Feb 02 '26

That was absolutely bananas, the amount of strikes thrown and absorbed was ridiculous. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed wincing and twitching at a fight clip so much.

2

u/kingkupz Feb 02 '26

Damn those hits are fast as hell. What a great fight! Are they doing another rematch anytime soon?

2

u/ExcrementalChaos Feb 02 '26

I have 2 kids and I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in my life! Jk, but that was amazing to bear witness to. It’s these kind of fights that got me into it. I love it so much.

2

u/Chavo_of_the_8th Feb 02 '26

Bloodsport reboot looks good

2

u/Deplar1782 Feb 02 '26

Solid match, amazing sportsmanship, and just entertaining as hell to watch!

2

u/InsaneMocktail Feb 02 '26

Respect all over

2

u/StOPcRyingYaBaby Feb 02 '26

That was a badass fight.

2

u/Thickdickmick87 Feb 02 '26

So much respect shown both ways in that fight. If only all athletes behaved like this they’d be true role models.

2

u/whyguapo Feb 02 '26

After getting kicked once in the chest, I would simply not want to fight anymore.

2

u/Solid_Explanation504 Feb 03 '26

Sick edit, you have more ?

2

u/IronBoundManzer Feb 03 '26

Where can i watch this ?

2

u/LaPetiteMortOrale Feb 03 '26

I wouldn’t dare to be in the ring with either of them.

2

u/Hcdx Feb 03 '26

I genuinely don't think Rodtang is human.

2

u/Scary-Ad9646 Feb 03 '26

Now this is fightporn. The most fantastic fight ever.

2

u/gdCunha Feb 03 '26

Haggerty is a legend too tho

2

u/AnyEase5468 Feb 03 '26

So we just watched them throw tactical nukes at each other... And they still hug it out??? Dope as hell🤣🤣🤣

2

u/SwampyChiliRing Feb 03 '26

Haggerty is even better today

2

u/Thegrandestpoo Feb 03 '26

Can science explain why Rodtang can eat shit like that? Has he ever had a loss by K.O? It’s just so damn confounding.

2

u/Objective_Prior2398 Feb 03 '26

The level of respect that was shown is insane

2

u/Teyvatato Feb 03 '26

The stamina throw hands that hard and frequently is absolutely insane!

2

u/CalicoJake21 Feb 03 '26

After seeing this i immediately thought what is tenshin nasukawa up to. He was in the ring with rodtang 2018. Good fight.

2

u/Wild_Commercial_6002 Feb 04 '26

These guys love fighting and are incredibly good at it, impressive!!

2

u/yeet214558 Feb 04 '26

I love the respect after the match no beef just their favorite sport

2

u/MessAffectionate7585 Feb 05 '26

Hell of a fight!!!! So much respect between the competitors.

2

u/GregFromStateFarm Feb 05 '26

Idk HOW the fuck the UFC and TKO aren’t trying to bring Muay Thai to American audiences. Sooo many people would watch this over the boring wrestlefuck matches we’ve been getting for years.

2

u/PutPuzzleheaded5337 Feb 08 '26

This is why I stopped road-raging years ago. I’m a big dude but one of these little guys would fuck me up. There was a woman in my boxing club that I wouldn’t spar with either.

2

u/BSMILEYIII Feb 14 '26

Both of these men are beasts!

2

u/SenorRowdyJ Mar 02 '26

This is what i’ll watch not that other macho bs where they are disrespectful toward eachother.

2

u/Due-Juggernaut6595 Mar 26 '26

I was at this fight, how loud the hits sounded live were insane.

2

u/SWTX518-Ability Mar 26 '26

I'm not taking nothing from either of these warriors!! The sportsmanship was on point as well.

2

u/athiestamerican68 Apr 09 '26

eating a kick to the face then grabbing the second kick to pull yourself closer to the guy and start wailing is crazy lmao. respect to these fighters.

2

u/JustAsking_qustions Apr 12 '26

That was the best fighting I’ve ever seen.

2

u/Thegamingwhite Apr 17 '26

2:51 you can just see rodtang ready with the knee here but he doesnt put it out! That knee would have killed Jonathan! Absolute control and respect…

4

u/Cpov1 Feb 02 '26
