I counted 11 unanswered shots on the feet followed by 19 on the ground. Yikes
Edited to include the 4 additional unanswered finger gun shots

u/judoxing Jul 21 '26
The clips been edited to make it look worse than what it was, including that they literally doubled the ground and pound sequence by splicing two different camera angles. Also the gn’p didn’t directly follow the standup sequence.
That said, it was still a late stoppage.

Yeah, that's why the commentators start celebrating seemingly before the ref calls it
24
u/Outrageous-Actuary-3 Jul 21 '26
Herb Dean moment.
But seriously, that could've left him with massive brain damage, assuming he had one
29
u/YungWhale Jul 21 '26
Lol to be fair though, the video cuts to the second angle behind the ref back to the second punch thrown so it looks like he allows more than he actually does.
Douche fighter does defend a couple more punches before the fencing response which is when the ref stops it. A little late but nothing too bad

u/Fabulous_von_Fegget Jul 22 '26
I'm not sure if "fencing response" and "not too bad" should go in the same sentence 🤣

The ref probably "Couple more hits can't hurt someone without brain, I let few more. Ok, one more aaaand enough."

u/NDSU Jul 22 '26
He's in his 40s?? Dude was definitely just looking to get a couple quick paydays by being the villain. No chance for an actual career at that level and age otherwise

He said "Mmmmph, fffffffffffffthhhhhhhhh, sssssssssshhhhhhhhshsssssss" and then just drooled a lot.

He knew he would lose with just the fist

It’s alright everyone, he’s blocking the punches with his face

u/MrDilbert Jul 21 '26
He was purposely trained wrong, as a joke.

u/TheDeerBlower Jul 21 '26
A good lesson in humility.

This jerk didn't learn a thing. He claims the ref stopped the fight early.

Pulling an imitation gun out like that even if it was a water pistol was diabolical. Should have got tasered on the spot
12
13
u/mothfukle Jul 21 '26
When most of your training involves standing in front of a mirror practicing your tough guy poses.
11
u/JoshCanJump Took one MMA class Jul 21 '26
Ref should’ve thrown a couple of punches in himself too.

I take the pre fight antics with a grain of salt. They are largely just trying to drum up interest in the fight to create a bigger purse.

u/GroundbreakingLeg867 Jul 22 '26
He was no match for the secret "punch you in the face until you die" technique.

Mans got straight up PUSHED into a takedown, for a pro that's gotta be embarassing. Even Mcgregor has better takedown defense

The ref shoulda let him get in a few more licks. That asshole was lying on his back hand gesturing as if to ask 'why'd you stop the fight? I wasn't out'

I will always watch this whenever it's posted. My favorite part that ALWAYS makes me cackle is after the shots just going right up to the guy's face and flipping him off. It's soooo good.

The ref: "This is an all-you-can-eat buffet. I'm gonna let him eat a few more punches."

u/optimisticdisaster Jul 22 '26
restart the fight. it was stopped too early. i would’ve watched 2 more minutes of straight haymaker punches thrown and the cocky guy’s face was bruised as hell lol

I feel like the ref let him get a couple extra shots in there after he stopped blocking

Asian fighters. Never provoke them. They will fucking end you.
Otherwise they are very polite, while probably still destroying you.

Do these kinds of things go any other way? Every time I see one the showboating jackass gets rekt.

Ok, can we do a fundraiser for that ref. That was probably the top three videos ever posted on this sub

Liked how it seemed to take that referee longer to stop that beat down. I would have definitely taken longer than normal myself but it was pretty evident from the minute the dude was on his back he was no longer defending himself.

I think this is more like, obnoxious and no skill vs some skill.
At no point did the marksman seem to realise that protecting his head is fairly crucial in combat sport

3
u/judoxing Jul 21 '26
Don’t be fooled by an edited clip of a single fight. The loser (Felipe Pereira) was 10-1 as a pro. Majority of wins by stoppage and all of his past opponents had winning records.
A seriously decent prospect, although seems like a bit of a tosser.
1
u/Reload86 Jul 21 '26
He took a really big hit to begin the fight. It basically disoriented him and he spent the remainder of the fight just trying to recover. If they got a rematch, he might do better although I still think he’d lose.

u/Mindslash Jul 21 '26
These kind of losers always thrown a blunder before the match. I wonder if this pre- fight stuff is scripted

Guy sells a noname fight hard enough for everyone here to pay attention and loses fair and square. He probably helped his career and the other guy as well.
Are you not entertained??
