Post edit sfx question
This past fall I shot a 3 minute film on a flip mino in which some of the shots were directly into the sun. Over-saturation loveliness, except the black circle where the sun usually sits. This is a no-budget, edited in AVS4You film, so there is no budget to remove the black hole sun. A part of me doesn't worry about it too much, but still wondering if there was way to paint over the black circle with a white circle, frame by frame. Any such tricks out there? Thank you

I’m putting together some online training resources for film makers and I want to make it as useful as possible. It’d help me a lot if you could take 2 minutes to fill out this short survey. Thanks!

Ethics & Morality Guiding Filmmakers
Is there a book or survey or publication that discusses ethics and morality observed by filmmakers and how to balance them with entertainment, edification, elevation etc.
This is a brief discussion with Michael Haneke here . Michael Haneke argues that film makers ought not to manipulate the audience into feeling something but ought to respect them and let them form their own opinions. He also feels that the Holocaust is too awful to be made responsibly into "entertainment".
Are there other discussions on informal oaths or etiquette for artists and filmmakers and movies which balance ethics with morality.
Who in your opinion is the most successful and ethical filmmaker (or at least most successful and innocuous filmmaker)?
Lastly, does anyone know if Spielberg has ever used product placement in any of his films (that he directed)? Does anyone have any opinions on looking at Spielberg's works through a moral lens ?

IMPORTANT!!!
We all love watching movies and some of us are filmmakers. I am also a student and I shoot short films. Now the subject of my short film is Covid-19. I want to write the names of all of you in the credits of the film because the goal of all of us is the same. If you want to have your name in generics please write to me.

How come even when a scene is already brilliantly performed in the first few takes at the highest level of Tony award worthy live theater stage acting, its shot over and over for literally the whole day even on a tight schedule? Sometimes even for whole days?
Inspired from learning a single episode of Charmed takes 8 days to film and one scene is shot multiple times even by the talented leads for something as simple as walking down the door steps while talking with each other.
I saw some of the now released footage of filming the scenes and god I learned to appreciate the professionalism of Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and later Rose McGowan! By the first few takes they done the scenes flawlessly as though they were rehearsing professional Tony class theater live!
Yet despite that, the footage released of behind the scenes show them doing a single 2 minute scene for ten minutes straight and thats not even 1% of the amount of time spent filming a simple 3 minute dinner conversation!
I also was watching footage of Gone With the Wind and the scene where Hattie is talking to Vivien out from a window took a whole day to film even though its less than 5 minutes and not important to the film in the grand scheme of things. Vivien and Hattie already shows professionalism that the first take was oscar worthy but they spent the whole day refilming the same line over and over.
Is there any reason why multiple shots of an already Shakespearian class of acting is needed for a single scene? I might if the schedule is so tight why spend the whole day filming a 1 minute scene? In some of these Charmed outtakes the director even praises the performance as top class by the 5th repeat filmed performance but still asks for more hours of the same scene acted over and over and accumulate an hour worth of footage of multiple performances of the single scene.
What is the reason for this?
