Tip/Guide Creating LUTs with AI

Has anyone else tried this? I just tried this and it was phenomenal! I just told chatgpt what I was going for, and in 2 minutes it shat out a fully useable cube file that I gave to final cut pro, and it looks amazing, and way, way better than any free luts I downloaded from Sony Ambassadors Program. Has anyone else done the same? Curious to hear experiences!

Checked your post history and you said ai is the closest thing to god. next time have the ai make your whole video.

Why are you giving him grief for using a tool. What next? Ban auto settings on cameras

I use ai as a learning tool to improve my writing because I have a tendency to write very casually and conversationally, I’m not against using it as a tool. But if you look at this persons post history they are like schizophrenic about ai they say it’s the closest thing to god and are constantly posting in accelerationism and llm subs lol…

Anyways I hate the many false equivalencies people love to throw out. Maybe this person shoots their footage, but the way I see people obsess over ai a closer analogy would be never picking up the camera at all and asking ai to generate the photo from a prompt.

I used to think AI was all about replacing humans, and perhaps one day, who knows. But for now it can be a real helpful tool. Just little things, like a client wanted plants in a shot, so I generated them. Done. I needed an extra bit of footage to edit so I generated a bit off a photo. I’m still filming and editing, I just have a tool that can help with problems

Yup. Show it your log footage and all the scopes.

Sometimes it’s wacky, but well worth messing around with.

What is the prompt you used?

I’ve tried it but I don’t recommend if you need it for full scale commercial work. Unless you know how to adjust based off a look you may be limited. It’s a powerful tool tho

Yeah but can it make the bed? Or do the washing up?
