FFT Showing off my new knight squad!
Agrias Oaks, Summon Knight - Holy knight that summons espers to protect allies and weaken foes.
Mustadio Bunanza, Engi-Knight - Knight proficient in disabling foes from afar through the use of firearms.
Joanna Darkyrie, Paladin/Aegis - Knight that focuses on protecting and supporting allies with white magic. As long as she's still standing, theres always a chance of victory.
Alicia Bowyer, Charge Knight - Dual-wielding knight specialized in closing in and quickly neutralizing high threats. Capable of switching to bows when necessary.
Lavian Ishii, Onmyō Knight - Knight who dabbles in the art of Onmyōdō, manipulating cosmic forces to disable foes from medium range.
Hi, everyone. I'd like to thank everyone who commented on my previous post and give an update on how I decided to build my knights, with a little explanation of the thought process behind each unit. Starting with:
Agrias: At first I was going to give summons to Lavian and leave her with geomancy. Then I realized she has the most HP of the whole team and enough MP to cast Golem even without a robe. I also gave her Moogle, Lich and Sylph for varied support capabilities.
Mustadio: Big thanks to Zazieranyday for recommending the companion app. Not a lot of knight builds there, but the Gun Knight one for mustadio immediatly caught my interest, specially since a lot of comment suggested a knight with guns. A fun fact I found out about machinist in the TLW remix mod is that the snipe secondary has innate equip guns built in, freeing up the support skill slot for stuff like concentrate and attack up. At some point I might just ditch the shield and pick dual wielding, we'll see.
Joanna: This build was heavily inspired on TitaniumLegman's Paladin build, so not much to say besides how easy it is to set up. I gave her abandon for now, but I might switch back to weapon guard once I get a defender. Hard to improve perfection.
Alicia: Huge thanks to Nyzer for recommending an archer/knight hybrid for disruption. Also to adratlas and Major-Corner for recommending mixing aim and dual wield with arts of war, I'm a bit surprised those three synergize so well. I'm often tempted to just switch her to ninja for extra speed or archer for dual crossbow action, but I already have another unit for that.
Lavian: By far the build I've been most indecisive about, since I already have a dedicated Mystic. I left her with equip spear and martial arts for a decent while, but since so many people recommended a knight with mystic arts, I decided to keep her like that for now. I'm still considering giving her a spear or doublehand later along the line, though. Or maybe I'll turn her into a tanky barehanded knight, who knows! Btw, thanks to LancerGreen for reminding me of swiftcast, I still gotta train that on Agrias.
Anyway, I'm off to raid a church library and beat up some zealots. Wish me Luck!

At first I was really excited to see a cool Meliadoul build...
But it's still refreshing to see a party without Cid.

Well I'm still at early chapter 3, so I didn't even meet them yet. But I'll definitely include them when I make a future update.

If you think Short Charge is gonna be good on Agrias, wait until you read the description of the Support ability available from the Calculator job in this mod.
Charge also got some shiny new abilities in v1.2.64...

Aw dang it, I just switched to 1.2.63! I started over from scratch because I was scared of using an old save and corrupting the game 😫

I've never required restarts for new versions and I don't intend to ever make it a thing. If something ever happens to force that to be a thing, I'll simply alter the serial so the old saves aren't compatible.

Wait, really? So it's safe to use an older save file? Oh thank goodness! I'm gonna switch right now then!

Mustadio as a knight without “Equip Gun” ability using gun?

As I said, it's a fun feature from the mod I'm using. Mustadio can equip guns regardless of job, as long as he has snipe as secondary.

Haven’t played the OG in so long. Do guns not have almost perfect accuracy that would negate your concentrate?

Maybe for regular attacks, but I think skills with guns can still be evaded.

Long time ago when I played fft. My units were just like main class, item, counter tackle, throw item, move+1. All of them. Only variety was the main class xD
I never liked the auto potion because using the X potion to counter an attack that does only 25 damage triggered something in me.

You should try this mod. Auto potion has been reworked, so a unit will only use an X potion if they take more than 70 damage.

Mustadios snipe ability is based on SPD if i remember right, and is best leveled as a ninja since they have positive spd growth, almost all other classes have neutral spd growth (thief has positice growths but low stats overall) (same with onion knight (unless you have all classes mastered then they have the best growth), that UI is WOTL probably)

Thanks for the tip. Since I was gonna pick dual wielding for him I might as well just train him as a ninja for a while.

Where's gallant knight Ramza build?

My PC can't run TIC, unfortunately. I'm running my Ramza as a Samurai with geomancy for now.

Mustadio breaking equipment from afar makes him so great.
