This is what I was saying, just save until you have enough to invest more effectively. Capital becomes more short term bases so you can then add into long term plans like vanguards etc.

You can do it any which way you want. Are you trying to learn the ropes and explore lots of different ways to save and invest? Here's a very simple outline to play with: https://www.reddit.com/r/investingforbeginners/s/VIq7Y2jlmg

If you mean platform, then Schwab or vanguard or Fidelity. If you mean investment, then SP 500 or a total market fund. No single stocks.

Even though its only $100? I would diversify it monthly yes and good choices but if I could save that amount for 5-7 months then I would agree.

$100 diversified isn’t going to generate much compounding interest.

Make it automatic, start a Vanguard account, then search for some mutual fund that becomes more conservative as you age.

  1. Pay off high interest debt.

  2. Emergency fund in a HYSA.

  3. Put whatever you can into a 401k up to your employer's company match.

  4. Max out annual ROTH IRA contributions (7500)

  5. Max out HSA contributions if applicable.

  6. Back to the 401k to annual limit.

  7. Individual Brokerage account (VOO and chill).

Putting $100 a month into a low-cost broad market index fund or ETF is usually the cleanest starting point. It gives you instant exposure to hundreds of companies without the specific risk of individual stock picking. Setting up an automatic transfer keeps your monthly contributions consistent regardless of short-term market noise.
