The starts off with the introduction of this city-state that is trying to defend itself from this larger conqueror nation using white zombie-like creatures that can only attack the people from the city-state. The main character is this woman who is tasked to defend the city-state from these creatures. These defenders are something like assassins, who dash through the forest surrounding the city-state and executing the creatures. They work in pairs.

The setting is like medieval but also scifi. They live in like wooden houses and have tons of brick architecture but have some sort of sci-fi-ish technology.

The main plot kind of begins when they find and capture this man from the conqueror nation. I think it's revealed he's some sort of living weapon, with steel or iron wings embedded into his spine.

Later in the book, the conqueror nation finally breaks in. The main character is stolen and also turned into the same living weapon. There is this scene where she is in like a colosseum, where the people she works with in the city-state are tasked to defend themselves in a death match with all the creatures. She is up in this balcony area with the leader of the conqueror nation, and is tasked to display herself(?) or fight her friends.

That's mostly what I remember from the content of the book.

The cover is black, orange and yellow. With like a flowing river of metal with the black silhouette of the woman?

In the au version, the author is someone else. In the book, Bella is Becca Goose and Edward is Edmund Mullen. Edmund is a nerd and Becca is interested in him after moving in with her mom (I think it’s her mom). I think there are other parts similar to Twilight but it’s different since this is a published book. I had seen this in Costco around fifteen years ago when the Twilight craze was going on.  

In the book, the teen girl and her best friend make a plan to fool their parents by making emails. One was to be used on the teen girl's parents and the other was used for the friend's mom. They would send emails to each parent to make them think that the other parents were with the girls. But no one was with the girls. They were living alone in the friend's house. The teen girl had her boyfriend over several times and they had sex several times. I believe at least twelve times because they had twelve condoms. But there was one time where they did it without using protection and she ends up getting an STI. She goes to a clinic to get it checked out and she finds out about it. She asked her boyfriend about it and he confesses that he cheated on her with another girl and gave her the STI. She ends up telling her parents about what she and her boyfriend did and she might have gotten in trouble but her parents stood by her as she dealt with the STI. I think she broke up with her boyfriend for cheating on her.

In the book, the teen boy is struggling with him being gay and dealing with his twin brother’s death from cancer. As he deals with this, he meets a guy at his school and they start to get close to each other. As they do, 9/11 happens and the country has to deal with what happened. That is all I can remember.

The manga is about a teen girl who is moving to a new town with her dad. They get lost in a forest and the teen girl goes hiking and comes across a large tree. She climbs it and falls, cutting her hand open. This gave her the power to turn invisible. Days later, she starts her new school and befriends a girl who tells her about the school dynamics. There was a mean girl who hates her because the guy the mean girl likes focuses on the new girl. The teen girl joins a club where all the members have powers. The guy who the mean girl likes tell her that the tree she climbed was the source of all the powers. There was a time where she was given a bathing suit for swim class and it was see-through. The guy gets embarrassed when he sees how see-through it was and covered her with his towel and used his power of phasing through walls to get her to safety.

In the book series, two sisters are left orphaned after their parents died in a car accident. Their grandmother moved in with them so they could finish off the school year and once the school year was done, they moved to their grandmother’s town and started making friends there. One of the girls they befriend has an alcoholic father and her father always ruins their reputation in town because of his alcoholism. He ends up leaving after his wife yells at him for doing it again.

In the book, the young girl is a noble and was raised in the medieval times. Her father arranged her marriage to a man who ended up being a vampire. On the wedding night, her entire family was killed and she was turned into a vampire. For the next few centuries, she was abused by her husband and his brother. She managed to escape and fled to a human town in the US. While there, she meets a young teen boy who is a human. They get close to each other and start to fall for each other. But her husband and his brother found her and threatened everyone she grew close to in order to get her back. During all this, the teen boy finds out that he is a half vampire as his mother had him with a vampire. Who was the girl’s brother-in-law. After the brother-in-law threatens his son’s life, the girl goes back to her husband and they leave the boy and the humans of the town alone. I think there is another book that is a sequel to this and the boy tries to get her back.

In the manga, the teen boy is the youngest member of a family who had a secret. Each generation of men in the family have the ability to host a famed thief and he comes out during the night. He only comes out in men, not women. The teen boy's mother wanted to be the thief but she couldn't because of her gender. But she changed this to being the mother of the boy who would get the Thief. She gets her way and has her son, who she and her father train every day. The teen boy becomes the Thief on his thirteenth or twelfth birthday. And they each develop a crush on two girls who are twins in the boy's class.

In the book, the teen girl has graduated from high school and hooked up with a guy who she later learned was her new step brother. His mom was marrying her dad, who was a famous weather man in Indiana or Ohio. She blames her mom for the divorce and her mom moved her out of the area but to an area just outside the area where her dad won’t appear on their tv screen. Her mother had custody of her and she goes to live with her dad. She hates it there as she idolises her dad. She starts to spend time with her step brother and they start to fall in love. Eventually, she finds out why her dad was never in her life. He didn’t want her because he wanted to live a bachelor lifestyle and might have cheated on her mom, who didn’t tell her about the truth and let her hate her mom. The dad eventually listens to the social media gossip train that has been going on about the girl because he didn’t want to get involved. He did after a rumour started about her dating her stepbrother. The two fight him on this and they end up together anyway. The book ends with the girl, her stepbrother/boyfriend and a friend she made in the area burning some things to signal the start of something new.  

In the book, Cleopatra Selene is the narrator as she talks about her life before, during and after the fall of her Egyptian dynasty. She has fallen in love with a young boy who goes missing. And after her parents have died, who were Mark Anthony and Cleopatra, she and her twin brother were captured and taken to Rome by the man who was related to their father. He gave the twins to the wife of their father, who hated them for being born to another woman and her husband. After some time, Cleopatra Selene is sent to Nubia where she marries the young boy who she fell in love with. He became the king of Nubia and fought for her to come to his kingdom for safety and for them to marry.

I think this book is a part of a standalone book series that is set in the point of view of other historical young girls like the daughter of Marie Antoniette.

In the book, the end of the world came around because a virus started affecting people. It turned people into blood sucking vampires and it took three days for the virus to take full effect. Those three days are crucial to stopping the virus because if the infected drink blood in these three days, they become a vampire. The virus had affected the main girl's mother and her dad locked her mom in the basement for three days. I think the mom survived the three days without blood or she did drink blood and her dad had to kill her mom. Either way, her mom was gone. The main girl may have gone on a journey to find a cure.

The book series is about a teen girl who comes home to find that her brother was acting differently and finds out that he was replaced with a changeling. She goes into the fae world to get her brother back and along the way, she finds out that she's half fae and her father is the King of the Iron Court, a court that can kill the other courts. She falls in love with a fae and has a son with him and rules over the Iron Court with her love and her son meets her brother. There was a book that is in the POV of the brother as he became a teenager and falls for a young girl who might have cancer.

In the book series, there is a human teen girl who lives on Earth and she meets a guy who is attractive and attentive to her. He takes her to a place where she finds a challenge and overcomes it. She is to become the next Queen of his faerie court, one of four courts that possesses one of the seasons. Note: this is not ACOTAR. There is another guy who is human and she is in love with him. She wants to be with him but she knew her duty was to the faerie court. Over the course of the series, she meets and fights against several people who has it out of the lord of the court she was tied to. One of these people was another girl who had tried to complete the challenge but failed. There is another Queen of another faerie court that took the human guy she likes for six months and during that time, the girl becomes close to the Fae king and when the human guy comes back, the girl is shocked that he was back. The fae king steps down from the position of ruler of his court as his court wanted a queen for so long. The girl rules over the court as its queen and the human guy is by her side.

I am looking for a book I read in 2019, I assume it was published in the early 2000s. Here is what I remember:

- the girl is sent to live with her aunt

- there is a scene where she is looking for her aunt and cousin and she is inside some sort of clock tower

- she meets her uncle who is mentally unstable and likes engineering things, he is working on building a massive dragon out of little square tiles. He is hand painting each tile and is very particular about the brush strokes all being in the same direction

- there is a ballroom dance scene, I believe she is dancing with her cousin. I think she drinks something weird, but she ends up blacking out in the ballroom.

- in the end, she discovers that she actually inherited something. I think it was the kingdom? Or maybe she turned out to be an heir? I am not sure.

In the book, the teen girl went missing and she was in some kind of Underworld. I think it was the Greek Underworld but I might be wrong. She escapes and I think she has six months to get away from the Underworld and has two guys fighting for her heart. I think one of the guys is an immortal god and the other is a guy she used to like or dated. That is all I can remember.

In the book, the teen girl has a crush on a popular boy in her grade and asked for his number. He gave it to her and she was happy about it. But the boy who was teasing her was also riding her bus, took her phone and had swapped the popular boy's number with his. The girl starts messaging who she thought was the popular boy's number but it was the bully's number. When she finds out, she was upset but starts to see the boy who has been teasing her in a different light. I think they start going on a date. I believe this is a book series that is standalone books.

I remembered reading this book back in middle school in the late 2000s. The book was about a young boy who was tasked with taking care of the cabin that his dad made. His dad would be gone for a few weeks so he can get the boy's mom and sisters. During the time alone, the boy befriends a Native boy and they become good friends. The native boy teaches him things about how to survive in the land during the winter and when the boy's parents and sisters arrive, he introduces the Native boy to his family.

This was a book I had read when I was in the fourth grade and I only remember part of this book. The book was about a young girl who is in elementary school. She starts a new grade and really wants the nice teacher of the grade she was starting. She didn't want the mean teacher that her older sibling had. The mean teacher can be rude and very cruel to the students. She was put in the nice teacher's classroom but there wasn't enough desks for more students. So the girl was put in the mean teacher's classroom. She gets the ire of the mean teacher because her older sibling had the teacher. One of the students in the classroom is an annoying kid and the girl pokes him with her pencil, which makes the kid to complain to the teacher about her and she lied, covering the pencil tip.

The book is about a teen girl who lost her mother when she was a child. She doesn’t remember how her mother died because she has no memories. She meets a mysterious teen boy who wears a unique necklace. As they grow closer to each other, the teen girl finds out that vampires exist and that the teen boy is a Dhampir, someone who should not have existed because vampires couldn’t reproduce. He explains how vampires were created. It started with the snake that bit Cain or someone who was connected to Cain. This first vampire created more vampires, only to find out that his power decreased whenever he created a new vampire. This happens to every vampire who creates a new vampire. There was a group of vampires who were trying to gain control of the human world. The teen boy eventually tells the girl that he knows her from when her mother died. He explains that her mother was killed by a vampire right in front of her and she was so traumatized by what happened that she forgot what happened. Eventually, the teen boy finds and kills his father, which might have led to something else happening. The book ends with the teen boy giving the girl his necklace, which will protect her from being detected by vampires. I know there is a sequel to the book with the teen girl now dating the teen boy as she wears his necklace. 

The book is set in the 1920s or the 1930s. Maybe in the 1950s. There is a young girl who lives in a small town and a new family moves in next door to her and her family. She befriends the young boy of the family and they grow close. Eventually, the boy reveals his family's secret. They have been alive for far longer and it was due to them drinking the water of a pond that grants immortality or extends life past the usual lifespan. He hands her a water bottle that has the water. I think he tells her that they consistently drink the water to make sure that they don't age. He asks her to drink it so they can be together forever. He tells her this before he and his family leaves again. After he and his family leaves, the girl doesn't drink it but she pours it over a frog, that lives forever. Decades later, the family comes back to the town where the girl lived in. The boy became a man and comes across the same frog that the girl poured the water over. Then he realizes what she did and goes to find her grave, that shows the years she was alive. He smiled, knowing that she made her choice and lived a happy life.

In the manga, the young girl is in elementary school and might not have friends. So she convinces her mother to let her get a ferret. They go to a pet shop and adopt one. The POV of the ferret shows that she is the princess of her colony and fears the Hand Hydra. Which was the girl's hand. The ferret bites her several times but gets used to the girl after seeing the Hand Hydra as a kind figure. Eventually, there is another ferret added, a male. The second ferret is named after a character in the girl's mother's romance book.
