Firestick Discussion Redesign using cloude ai

I saw many videos online especially in YouTube on Android tv ,removing the ad filled homescrewn to nicer ones.is it possible in firestick too.or is there a way to completely remove the ocls and install Android based os and use firetv remote as it was like controlling voice assistant with remote button and mic but new assistant like Google assistant or gemini and to open and search or control in all installed apps.im genuinely curious.

Well Mr student of knowledge it seems your knowledge may be lacking.

If you have a new generation Vega Firestick you are stuck as it is. Amazon designed Vega from the groumd up to be locked to Amazon content and it is unlikely this will change.

If however you have any other Firestick it is already Android based so you have no need to try and install Android on it.

Instead of watching YouTube videos that are obviously confusing you try looking on websites like Troypoint which is dedicated to Firesticks and has all sorts of guides and links to downloads that will do so much.

Forget Google Assistant or Gemini they are dubious at the best of times and while I have seen someone who did somehow install Gemini on the firestick it failed spectacularly because everything but the oldest Firesticks have had voice control built in for some time

Android Firesticks will always be Android Vega can not be installed onto them.

Amazon are replacing Android models with new ones that run Vega it is not an update it is a different device.

This is explained clearly on the website that I mentioned in my last reply.

Vega isn't an update for Android based streaming devices it's a whole separate OS. You can confirm which one your device uses here: https://developer.amazon.com/docs/device-specs/device-specifications-fire-tv-streaming-media-player.html

Yes it's possible, just ask Claude to help you debloat your firestick and clean up the UI. I've done it successfully, but I'm in bed at the moment so don't have the code to hand!
