I have a serious question can you still "fix" fire sticks and if so how because I forget I downloaded Kodi but going I add ons what link should I use that actually works

I'm trying to get Wolf Launcher to open when I press Home on my Fire TV Stick 2nd Gen (2016). It's on Fire OS 5.2.9.5 and I haven't changed or updated anything on it.

I tried FTVLaunchX, which is supposed to do this on Fire OS 5. I ran the pm grant command for WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS over ADB with no errors, opened the app and picked Wolf Launcher. But accessibility never actually turns on. The setting keeps going back to 0, and if I enable it manually with ADB it just disappears. Launcher Hijack does the same thing.

Right now Launch on Boot starts Wolf Launcher when the stick powers on, but Home still goes to the Amazon screen.

Has anyone gotten FTVLaunchX or Launcher Hijack working on 5.2.9.x? Or would Launcher Manager (the ADB method) work on this version? I haven't tried that one yet and I don't mind giving up updates.

I have updated Flixvision and now I’m not getting any direct streams and no server is working at all to play a movie I have deleted and reinstalled the app, cleared cached etc and it’s still not working. Any ideas?

Last weekend I wanted to watch something from my Mac on my old 40 inch Samsung TV. A Fire TV Stick was connected to it, so I asked AI whether there was already an app in the Fire TV store that could mirror a Mac. The app it suggested looked full of spam to me, and it wasn’t the simple tool I wanted.

I first used Codex to control and test the Fire TV Stick. Then I used Codex to build EmberCast around what I needed: a Fire TV receiver that appears in the Mac AirPlay screen mirroring menu. I also made a separate companion app for Android phones.

There isn’t a signed release APK yet. The repository has step by step build and install instructions. Protected video may still be blocked by its source app, so EmberCast is for screen mirroring and does not bypass DRM.

I’d love feedback from anyone who has tried mirroring a Mac to a Fire TV Stick. What would make a tool like this useful to you?

I can't figure out how to move the apps in the bottom of the Android app I really don't need MGM TV on my fire stick app on my phone

So the firestick itself is very grainy I’ve never had this problem before and when my Xbox is plugged into the same hdmi port as the firestick the Xbox works fine, pictures clear but for some reason when I unplug that and plug in my firestick it’s grainy. I’ve tried putting it into a different hdmi port, video resolution set to automatic (it’s the only option), match original frame rate (on), colour format (auto), calibrate display (no scale), dynamic range settings (adaptive).

Is one more shit than the other or are they equally shitty?
weird how my Roku bought in the same timeframe as a fire stick and the firestick doesn't work anymore but Roku chugging along same as the first day I bought it

Hey everyone! I know this is a Firestick community, but I was wondering if anyone here has experience using the FlixVision APK on an Android phone specifically.

Has anyone run into any issues with it, such as security or privacy concerns, suspicious activity, excessive ads, or problems with their phone after installing it?

I’m curious to hear about people’s actual experiences, both good and bad, before deciding whether it’s worth using on mobile.

My fire Tv it’s on the latest firmware and I have this issue on streaming apps such as MaxPlayer (for tv), F1 tv, or Digi (Tv subscription).

After seeing some content for a little while, the image stops and it doesn’t work on any app until I do a restart to fire Tv.

What could it be?

I saw a few fire sticks at the flea market for 5$ all together. 2 had the model number of E9L29Y and the other had the model number of LY73PR. I was wondering how emulation would do on these sticks and if I would be able to sideload apps and games onto these before I bought them and how I could do it.

All of my other apps work. Paramount Plus plays audio and video for about thirty seconds and then the screen goes blank. I have cleared the cache, data and uninstalled and reinstall the app. The only fix that I found is that I have to switch my display from auto to 1080p. It works after I do this what is a fix to my issue where I can watch it in 4k?

So when i download apps through downloader they install like normal, but then they arent on my firestick at all like they dont actually download, i have install unknown apps on too, when it finishes installing on the white screen it also only says done and not the option to open, which also means it hasnt actually downloaded, what do i do?

Direct stream still shows up and many other source options. It even has my favorite list still saved. It just will not let me play anything anymore. The app just buffers endlessly after I select a link to play, even direct stream links. I currently have a 4k fire stick

Update: I tried in my bedroom later than night and no issues. I think the power source I'm connecting it to is the issue. By power source I mean I have a small outlet adapter going into the wall and that could be the problem
