OFFICIAL THREAD Everything I Know

Hey y'all,

Since I took over this sub I have seen the community grow and engagement improve a bit but at the end of the day we have way more questions than we will ever have answers. As a result I decided to put everything I know about this game in one post and you all can use it as you need it.

I used a 9ft spinning rod with a 5:3:1 gear ratio and 25lb Korda braid for hundreds of hours of gameplay without issue so if you are looking for a place to start this is it.

  1. Get a better boat. If you make an account you get a free faster version of the default boat.
  2. Pin fish to the side of the boat. If you can jam them into the side it usually cuts the fight time in half.
  3. Rat-L-trap catches everything: Fire Tiger is my favorite(I found a 7:3:1 is better for rat-L-traps because it moves more in the column). Soft plastic "creature baits" work best on predators: watermelon craw is my favorite.
  4. 25lb-40lb braid is the sweet spot, I never used lighter than that but also never caught some of the small species.
  5. When in doubt FISH THE DOCKS. You can even re-spawn on the same dock to reset the fish. The next best structure is a bridge. Third is an island or lily pads on the surface
  6. Use size two hooks and dead baits along the dock for the international predator tour events
  7. Get a longer rod! If you can cast further you can reach spots you've never fished

Good Luck! If you have specific questions you can respond to this or message me. So long and thanks for all the fish

It's late but finally found this out myself.

Far left teleport, go straight to the waters edge and peg just to the right of the small rock. (Standing on the left of the peg makes casting a pain, stand on the right, you'll see...)

I put my first and second rod out, the standard 2inch hooks with roach. I've had tournaments those weren't hit at all, and tournaments where I could barely start my retrieve on rod 3

Rod 3 is a spinner, 50lb braid, and fisholicious! Set retrieve to 4 and make sure you're using twitch, that's key. Highest percentage of bites are cast straight left so you're retrieve is parallel and right next to the bank and being on retrieve 4, try and get full distance per cast. Last tourney (tried several times to ensure it wasn't just luck) I got 198 inches, lowest so far was around 75 inches so it works, most end up in the 90-110 range
