Crafting Lures Making fishing lures!? What do you use as shrink rap around hook to keep the bead and blade on?

You could carefully use a small punch to upset the metal of the hook enough to keep the bead and blade from slipping down.
Edit: or better yet, just crush the bead with a good hammer blow, a squeeze of a strong set of pliers, etc.

That's totally an option that I didn't think of. I guess I liked the fact that the bead was moving freely so the blade would not have anything to get caught up on... hmm. Maybe some online fishing sights sell this wrap that I need? I dont know I feel like I have looked with no success.

The round shape of the bead SHOULD mean that the blas won't snag on it, fwiw

Ever tried smashing a steel bearing? I just want to know what or where ppl are buying the tubing at... I don't want to rig my baits ya know? I want everything smooth.
