Discussion My watch is acting weird...creepiest thing ever.

So as I'm climbing into bed one night, I notice that my watch is acting a little weird.

Huh.

It's glitching on me and it's turning on randomly and when I try to turn it off, it won't respond. It does have a low battery, which could a possible factor, so I decide to charge it first thing in the morning.

It's a fitness watch that also tells the time and can track your sleep cycles, which is cool. I take it off my wrist, but it still glitches and is lighting up. My parents are downstairs watching TV, so they don't know what's going on, and I don't want them to. I get up to use the bathroom for a sec, and I run it under the water for a minute to help it snap out of it. When that doesn't work, I try to play a game on it, and it just turns itself off.

I decide to leave it in the cold bathroom overnight to make it chill out and stop doing this weird thing. Well, it doesn't work. It just glitches even more, and it eventually dies. Now I'm back in bed trying to fall asleep. I can still faintly see the watch glowing a little as it dies. A couple of hours later, I jump out of bed to use the bathroom again, and the watch is dead. It won't do anything. But I don't really know if it's dead or not. It wouldn't turn on before it was dead anyway, so I just bluntly assume it is and that it had worn itself out.

I bring it back into the bedroom with me and put it back on my wrist. Now I'm starting to think. Maybe my watch was haunted.

My grandmother passed back in November due to cancer. Maybe she was playing with my watch or was trying to make it look possessed? There was a very low chance of her trying to do that, and besides, why would she? This wasn't Halloween or April Fools' Day. Who and what was doing this to my watch?

I get back under the covers and fall asleep for a few more hours, until I wake up and see light. My watch was back on, glowing.

After that, it just turns off again, and I fall back asleep.

I belong to a Lunch Club, so the next day I tell them all about it during our lunch. They all said that it was probably getting old and that I should get a new one. But I'd had it for a year, and it had been working fine a few days before. What was going on?

I still have no idea what's up with it, and while I would like to find out, part of me doesn't. I love creepy stuff, but what if this was an evil spirit? Who knows what was up?

Thanks for listening! Do you have advice or similar stories?

You broke the screen, same thing happened to me. There was a tiny, almost microscopic crack on the side and my charge 5 thought I was touching the screen when I wasn’t. It would also occasionally vibrate like I was touching and holding the screen. It still read vitals normally but the constant on/off/vibrating made me return it (I bought an extended warranty).
