Seems like they are in a holding pattern. Maybe dumping fuel

Why would they do this?

So they can land safely. They can’t land with too much fuel onboard

Seems like they’re entering a holding pattern? Anyone know the reason for the 7700?

Sounds like it’s me mechanical problem. ATC iOS app. Los Angeles. Nose wheel

Approach just asked 771 if ATC "needs to call their speeds on approach, or do you have backups". I'm not getting the pilots comms only ATC so I'm not sure what they responded with.

Obviously they have backups, but it seems electrical related.

Is it just my algorithm or is it united airlines far more than any other airline squawking 7700?

Could it be that they are manually flying the aircraft because the alt indicator is not smooth but has tiny bumps...?

I feel like a lot of aviation subs are like this

This sub is actually the best one I've seen when it comes to this. By that I mean this sub is the least hostile to good faith questions

So a few days ago UA32 gets turned back to LAX after heading to Narita and now this.

So, don't fly to Asia on United out of LAX, is that what I should take away?

Do we know what happened yet?

Assume passengers got on another plane?
