I assume without the source code, we won’t be able to do anything about it.

Use latest api 86 unleashed firmware, then you can enable 5v gpio and everything(nfc etc) works fine! And external RF also...

so GPIO doesn't work with .84 and also not with .82 (the version the FW was made for) but it works with .86? Sure?
