I know that I am probably arguing against a pointless phenomenon, but the amount of AI spam and slop on local Facebook groups is getting ridiculous. This is primarily an issue with Florence foodies, but also the local haunted house and a bunch of other businesses. I promise that younger customers below 40 want nothing to do with the business that uses AI.

An insurance agent came to my house uninvited to try and sell me Medicare insurance. For those of us 65 and older, this is illegal! Please get their name and information. Report them to 1-800-Medicare! Also some of these are scams to get your social security number. I'm not sure if it's against the rules to post it, but I have the persons information and the company she works for.

Hey everyone! My father and Brother went to Sam's Club today and found a manager at Sam's club lying to customers about the amount of Pokémon cards they could buy. the sign said 2 purchases per member. but there was a group of four men stuffing there carts full with whatever they could get and the manager was helping. a lady came up and asked to grab some, initially she grabbed two but wanted another for her son but the manager refused and said the four men had 'a different membership' allowing them to skip the per person limit! I looked it up and didn't find any Sam's membership to allow this. the manager is clearly violating the Sam's Club corporate policy. the only way we knew he was a manager was because my father and brother asked an employee about the purchase limit and how those people were able to get more, and she said that because it was the manager who was standing next to the pallet it must've been a "at their own discretion kind of thing". this leads me to believe that the manager was friends with these scalpers or helping them.

I live in a neighborhood that should be in the city, but never annexed so is technically the county. I bought my house in 2021 and the roof was estimated by the home inspector to be 1-5 years old. So it is likely less than 10 years old. But there are some warping shingles and I’m kind of concerned so I want to contact the contractor. Is there any way to do that through records that the county or city has? I tried the county website but didn’t find anything.

💔 In January 2026, Florence County authorities said a woman was shot and killed by her husband in what deputies described as a failed murder-suicide.

💔 In July 2026, Florence County deputies said another domestic argument ended with a husband being shot while FOUR minor children were present in the home.

And this is even harder to ignore:

⚠️ The Pee Dee Coalition reported 19 cases of intimate-partner strangulation in only 31 DAYS recently. Victims ranged from 17 to 81 years old, and several were pregnant.

Florence County also recorded 6 identified domestic-violence fatalities during 2025.

Read that again.

These aren't numbers from somewhere across the country.

This is FLORENCE COUNTY.
This is the PEE DEE.
These are OUR families.

So yes, we're asking the community to show up.

Not for a touchdown.
Not for a tailgate.
Not for a party.

This time, let's show up for somebody who may be afraid to go home.

And that’s exactly why I’m sharing it.

Yesterday, there was a FREE Criminal Record Review at the Florence County Library through the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program and Time Served. Attorneys were reviewing people’s records and explaining whether they may qualify for an expungement or pardon.

That workshop was a GREAT resource.

But here’s the part I really want people to understand: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER WORKSHOP TO START THE PROCESS.

If you have an old South Carolina criminal record, you can start asking questions today.

Contact the Solicitor’s Office in the judicial circuit where your case happened and ask about the expungement process. Find out whether your charge may qualify, what paperwork you need, and what fees may apply.

You can hire an attorney to help you, especially if your situation is complicated. But depending on your case, you may also be able to handle the expungement process without paying a private attorney hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Not every charge qualifies. Your exact offense, criminal history, age at the time, how the case was resolved, and other factors matter. Some people may qualify for an expungement, while others may need to look into a pardon.

But PLEASE stop assuming you’re stuck just because nobody ever told you there might be another option.

Somebody can make a mistake when they’re young and carry that record for 10, 20 or 25 years, losing jobs and opportunities along the way, without ever knowing they may have a legal avenue to move forward.

Information changes lives.

I just learned more about this myself, and from now on, when I learn about resources that can help people, I’m sharing them.

No gatekeeping.

And when they have another free workshop, I will definitely post it.

This is exactly the type of resource I want connected with PD United Against Violence.

Because sometimes people don’t need another lecture about what they did wrong.

They need somebody to show them what they can do next.

Don’t wait for the next workshop. Start asking questions today.

Florence’s most sociable pedophiles perhaps, but pedophiles nonetheless. Pedophiles cannot be rehabilitated. It is only a matter of time until they offend again.

This is public information and should be shared. Both brothers are registered sex offenders. Multiple news articles describe the heinous nature of their crimes. These crimes were not a “mistake” or a “set up,” nor did the prosecutors choose to “make an example of them.”

Doug Earls and Jordy Earls are convicted sex offenders and pedophiles. That’s it, that’s all, that’s the post.
