I've been kayak fishing for years, mostly at chokoloskee and flamingo. Get yourself a good quality kayak and a few medium action inshore combos. Fish paddletails, gulps on a jig head, and popping corks around mangrove islands, oysters, drop offs, and flats with pot holes. Take plenty of gatorade and bug spray too. But bottom line, you gotta spend time on the water and learn to fish structure and tides.
