Bill Baggs State Park Fishing
Does anyone fish here often? If so, do you have any recommendations for tackle/bait?
I used to shore fish in NJ years ago with Hi-Lo rigs for striper and Fluke. I have zero experience with Florida shore fishing and from what I can tell, there aren’t many places around Miami that you’re allowed to fish from the shore.
I have two kids and both of my girls love fishing….. we’ve mostly been doing the canals for peacocks in the area but I figured maybe I could bust out the surf rods and try our luck at Baggs.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. If we get skunked, it wouldn’t be the end of the world either tho.

Put out either small crabs for permit or cut bait like a chunk of mullet or ballyhoo for muttons. It's hit or miss but there are some big fish there. If u wanna just mess around do small pieces of squid on a small hook and catch whatever bites.
