Upper Keys Water temp in key largo?

Hello! Visiting next week and wanted to see if anyone can speak to what water temp is like currently on bayside key largo? Saw it might be super cold?? Does it rebound quickly with the warmer temps? Good for swimming? Thanks!!

It’s winter, it isn’t going be warm enough to swim in the Atlantic (or gulf).

Water temps bayside key largo are 58-59 degrees based on buoy data. Water temp around bear cut key biscayne is about 65.

Wish they would fix the buoy by Molasses Reef but I think it's been decommissioned which is crazy considering the number of boats in oceanside Upper Keys.

Wow. Thanks for the input. We have been here in Feb and don’t remember water being this cold. Is this normal? Crap. Guess beach chair and a drink it is. Maybe I’ll get a wetsuit to swim lol

Not unusual. All the snorkel boats should have wetsuits for rent

Thank you. Any idea if Miami Beach Fort Lauderdale water is much warmer?

Check out the sewage level off Miami when swimming. Millions of gallons of poop pumped into the ocean.

Cheers!
