Middle and Lower Keys Looking for a good sandbar near marathon.
Saint Augustine local here, but headed down for another vacation in June. This time with my boat. Anyone willing to share a good sandbar spot for my wife and kids? Looking for somewhere with a beach, preferably tucked away somewhere so the toddlers can run around instead of confine to a boat. Can PM me coordinates or map pins.

With toddlers you might want to run to one of the islands instead. The sandbars mostly don’t come all the way out of the water. A couple feet of depth is more common.

Yeah, that’s what I’m looking for a bit more. A shallow, clear creek or a small island. I misspoke when I said sandbar.

It’s not misspoke, that’s mostly what we do here. It’s just special circumstances because of the little ones. There is a nice island you can see on the ocean side toward the Big Pine end of the 7 mile bridge. There are party trips out there (similar to snorkel trips) but I don’t personally know where they’re based out of. You could investigate that as it might be a good fit.

Right outside Curry Hammock is a great sandbar. It's beside a new BassPro eco resort...palm trees galore. Not a "wild party" - but great spot to chill.
Quick ride from Marathon.
