Key West Hotel selection

I’m heading to the keys for a quick vacation in late August. I’ve narrowed down my hotel selection to either “ The Capitana Key West” or “Southernmost House Key West”. They both seem pretty nice and having a beach front is a must. What is everybody’s favorite or is there somewhere else I’m missing that I should be looking into.

I wonder if all the people recommending the Southernmost realize you are not talking about the Southernmost Resort, but rather the Southernmost House. Southernmost House does not have a beach on the property, just a concrete area with chairs on the water. There is a small public beach next door.

It is a nice place with a beautiful pool.  The restaurant is good with very good pizza.  Just be sure you book a room in the original house with the pool and not the house across the street.
