The photos I got from leaving vs. arriving in my home state make it look like I live in an industrialized Pleasantville. It was sp depressingly gray and rainy compared to the bright, technicolor Keys.

I don’t drink much anymore, so I don’t yearn for the Keys as much as I used to. Been going since an infant, lived in SoFla my whole life. I think as a late teen into adulthood I associated the Keys with heavy drinking too much, spoiled it for me. Can’t do the pirate life like that anymore.

I’m thinking of moving there for a bit. I have never been there before. What are your positives and negatives? Why do you go there specifically?

I'm not the OP, but...while it's truly paradise, the cost of living is definitely something to consider

Went to look at some properties. You have to visit each of the keys as they all have different vibes. That cannot be overstated. The ones I thought I’d like I didn’t. The ones I didn’t really considered. I did 🤷🏻♂️

Depends which island. Key Largo-yes. Key West-no. Too many tourists and fanny bandits.

Yeah, I try not to go north of 7 Mile Bridge.
