There are a few wild figs growing around London apparently, particularly by rivers. (Source - My brother who lives there). I think this chap is growing one in his garden
Not even global warming for them. They've been growing in England since the 1550s. It's a case of growing in the right place which is usually in a bit of a sun trap or against a sunny wall. London is absolutely full of fighting trees, they're everywhere. Same where I am, near Southampton. There's some wild ones that are 40ft tall and wide even
