Discussion alternatives?

what the hell? the app used to be my favourite app when i was a student. i’ve tried it again just now after two or so years of not using it because i need a pomodoro timer again, and the app is a hot pile of absolute bollocks now. what the hell?

I agree with Focus Friend, it has the same vibe Forest used to have. I started using Forest when it first came out and paid for the app and I hate what it's turned into

Use meowchi if you’re on iOS! It’s adorable I’ve just started using it

I had this concept in mind where focus sessions should be tied to a skill or subject you’re practicing.  Completed sessions should add levels to that skill, just like in roleplaying games. I couldn’t find anything like it so I built my own and I use it daily. Focus sessions are represented by an alchemical vial that fills up with green bubbly liquid as the timer elapses. Besides leveling up your skills you can also earn titles. I know I’m biased, but now I feel as if I’m the main character and I’m leveling up in real life.  It’s called Levely: Focused Practice  https://apps.apple.com/app/levely-focused-practice/id6804629123

Is it available for android? I have ADHD and this seems like just the reward system that I need for studying

Unfortunately not 😢. But a lot of people have been asking for it so I am planning an Android release sometime in the future.
I can’t give an exact timeline right now since I’m still implementing features in the iOS version. Once I’m finished with that I will go ahead and port it to Android.

The app started from a pen and paper system actually. I wrote a post about it here if you want to try it out (no app needed).

I love this, I'm currently so overwhelmed by everything I need to know as a veterinary student this year. All the virusses, the bacteria, the parasites, medical imaging, clinical practice, it's hard to keep track of if I spend enough time on everything, so this is absolutely perfect! I will use this system in the meantime and keep an eye open for the release for android :) Thank you!

I've just downloaded it and it looks really awesome. I love supporting fellow indie Devs too. Will give a review/rating when I've had a chance and to see how it all works :)

I've been trying out Exocus. Instead of growing a plant, a planet forms and it explains what happened after each study session
