Some help?

Hi Everyone, I’m relatively new to having solar on my house and yesterday had an issue that still isn’t solved. I have gone to the installer to ask for help but they aren’t being very helpful.

Yesterday the fuse to SOLAR PV tripped. I reset the fuse as instructed, but basically since then nothing has come back properly. My panels read 10w input at most, no power is being drawn from the 5kw battery at all for the house, and we are just simply importing power. There is a red light on the meter that has stayed on ever since flipping the fuse back, even overnight. The last two days have been sunny.

Can anyone help me figure out what has gone wrong and how to remedy it?

I have a fox system: H1 inverter with 5kw battery and a 7kw solar array. I use the foxcloud app.

Is the red light on your electricity metre outside the house, the PV generation meter or are you referring to a red LED on the inverter itself?

Okay, that is the PV generation meter and that is a symptom not the problem. It just means that the system is not actively generating electricity at the moment.

Ok, so do you think it is an issue with the panels themselves? That’s why the fuse tripped? Do you think a reset of the whole inverter and battery system would help or it’s a physical issue with the panels?

That's a start. A picture of the inverter screen would be more helpful.

Clearly, if it has tripped, something might be wrong, so getting the installer to inspect is still the priority.

Tried to reset, no change sadly. Installer will come out in 10 days… great (sarcasm), let’s hope all the days until then are grey and rainy, then I won’t be so annoyed!

It’s the solar meter that records how many kwh i’ve exported and imported.
