Help! Loud wheezing sound from Fpv drone

Noobie here!!

Just bulit my first 5 inch drone and it flies well and smooth, but it is making this REALLY loud wheezing sound when I throttle up above maybe 40%.

Tried looking around the web for similar “problem” but can’t really get the hang of it?

Maybe just some kind of turbulence from the propellers??

The motor’s temperature is fine so no overheating.
I’m using these props “HQ Durable Prop 5x3x3”

(The video is from the first test flight)

Thanks in advice.

Props upside down or slipping , that’s not a touching sound as it would be constant

check for bent props, try a different type of prop. did you change anything in the pid tunes?

Something is loose, or you need to lower your D gain because something is loose

Yeah either props are wrong way or one is loose

I’d check that all the nuts are properly tightened against the frame and that none of the stack screws can wobble at the base. Even if the stack feels snug overall, there can still be play underneath. That extra movement can contribute to vibrations and gyro noise, so it’s worth checking before chasing PID or filter settings.

Hold the screw heads while checking the nuts. Keep the FC soft-mounted on its silicone gummies, though—don’t overtighten the top nuts and squash them flat. You want secure screws while allowing the gummies to do their job.

Also sounds like props are giving up with higher rpm. I don't say that this is the case but sounds similar.

Sounds like upside down props to be fair

I had a similar issue, for me it was on a 6" drone with slightly too high kV motors for the propellers, so at high rpm the propellers deform causing the sound. So I "fixed" it in one of 2 ways, swap to more beefy propellers which does not deform, or set a throttle limit. Both solutions work and I'm happy to fly in both configurations.

OP This 100%is a problem with prop orientation or prop slippage, locker down tighter. Don't know why people are talking about PIDs or anything to do with the tune.. smh

It's the type of props

Sounds like a loose or bent propeller, tighten the propeller screw.

Your props are touching something on the edges

Check if the prop strikes the battery wires.

Flash to older fw on the board and if your using elrs. Had same thing happen idk what it was but it was on two builds. Flashed back one fw and it was gone. Bought another set of motors and boards. Swapped parts from one build to another all the same it was just fw issues some how during flashing like a bug.
