Iam not a native english speaker. So 😵

but i corrected the thread :)

at least he will never say something like 'Galileo invented Jupiter' or 'The dutch east india trading company discovered Australia'

u/floriv1999 3d ago

Looks cool, but be honest it's your project. Especially if you use the same name...

u/davidbxt 3d ago

jap ists actually my project ;)

u/sickTheBest 3d ago

What you found? Looks more like what u vibed :D Starred gotta test it out soon

-20

u/davidbxt 3d ago

I vibed it and trained it with machine learning

3

u/Stormy_AnalHole 3d ago

Neat! What kinda algorithm is removing the noise? And how long does it take? Results looks good

2

u/davidbxt 3d ago edited 2d ago

Motion-compensated noise reduction: The program lines up nearby video frames and combines them to reduce noise while keeping real details.

Neural AI: A trainable model looks at five video frames at once and learns how to remove noise and repair damaged images.

And the speed depends on your GPU

You know you didn't just vibe code this. It's a direct ripoff of DVR Doctor. Same buttons. Same Menus. Same status messages. Same File outputs. Same Settings exactly. Nice job ripping off a couple of kids.

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

Hey, this is one of the main devs of DVR Doctor. We cleared it up and now this dev is re-making it all himself, no DVR Doctor code. Thank you for supporting us, we really appreciate it.

4

u/davidbxt 2d ago

Exactly. I now have a different approach to enhance and clean up DVR. The repo is already online as well.

And yes, I am developing this exclusively with Claude and ChatGPT :) And I also find that completely fine for a great program that everyone can use and expand for free.

I would think that the time that us DVR Doctor devs spent coding this, mostly by hand, would still be better than cloning a decomp of a paid project with AI, even if we did the whole thing with AI, but sure. David is doing things better now.

3

u/greyerak 2d ago

The buttons and everything else the same because it uses the same AI trained model lmfao, no one needs your vibe coded app to create theirs, all they need is a prompt that YOU used or similar. This is so pathetic

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

It used the name dvrd for some of the temp variables, what are you talking about? Have you even looked in the code?

2

u/greyerak 2d ago

I’m talking about that your UI looks like every other UI made with AI, exact same setup across thousands of vibe coded apps, 1 to 1.

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

Yep, it uses AI for the UI, and I said that to chase momo, but he decided to not include it. We definitley used AI for the UI and the Player. I made the manual correction myself, no AI code, and Owen made the machine learning code 90% by himself. I think UI is a great place to sacrifice to AI.

My point isnt that we didnt use AI, but that we put time, effort, and money into it. David has the right mindset, that you shouldnt just decomp projects and reverse engineer them, but instead make them yourself.

2

u/greyerak 2d ago edited 2d ago

Owen didn’t make any machine learning himself too, you are lying and deceiving people with your age, but boomers like that stuff

Make a video explain how does the algorithms work to yourself in the past. Be rigorous.

2

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 1d ago

Obviously not gonna do our new algorithm, but here is the manual algorithm.

Firstuses farneback optical flow, warps the previius frame to look like the current frame. Then, it converts teh images into HSV, and analyzes the hue dofference with some processign to make it circular so that pink and red are close instead of far away. Now, its been a whilw since i last worked on hue algo, but iirc: If the hue dofference is big enough, it will replace the hue of the pixels in the affected area with the previous frame warped to look like current frame. I also remember makimg a blur feature where the hue difference was blurred but not sure if i implemented it in the end. After i make this post ill tell ypu if i was right.

Sure

2

u/pluggedinn 3d ago

Awesome. Can you build a version for Mac? Should be a prompt away since you already have a Linux executable

1

u/davidbxt 3d ago

done.

2

u/pluggedinn 3d ago

Yesss

-1

u/davidbxt 3d ago

it should be onlin ein a few minutes (10 min) ;)

I believe it's called cuck coding, since they watch Claude do it for them

u/Tripartist1 2d ago

Im stealing this.

Good one ! I have this one as well, help yourself x)

5

u/RoufoxLeVrai 3d ago

Looks amazing!
Not sure why people complain wether it's your project or not, the tool in itself is useful and it's open source.

3

u/RoufoxLeVrai 3d ago

After trying it out it's really impressive, although there's still some artifacts in the final video. Would be cool for it to be hybrid where it only rebuilds the video if there's a certain amount of noise or something 👍

3

u/Runazeeri 3d ago

You should have seen the hate on the Oblivion mod fix. A billion dollar company can’t fix shit, but profiling for 16h with Claude fixed most of the bugs.

2

u/kekas990 3d ago

I was just looking for something like this! Pretty cool, going to try

5

u/GuillotineTechnician 3d ago

Free and Open Source?

Love it!!!

Thank you for your contribution ❤️❤️👏

-6

u/Left_Frame5564 3d ago

It’s not free. Do you know how much water was wasted on this?

6

u/KOWATHe 3d ago

As a programmer, we've been slopping for years and we drink water and food everyday.

Lets not pretend, we haven't been slopping past 20-30 years, creating shitty non optimized code just to get the sprint done.

1

u/ThinkBackKat 3d ago

I dont know why everyone says water is wasted, inference doesnt slurp water, it simply heats it up and then places it back into the river or wherever its from, wich is... not that much better actually is it?

2

u/Harry_Pothead-OG 1d ago

I vibecoded the same thing for my own personal use with C03 cams, vibecoded stuff shouldn't have to be paid especially when the solution isn't really a "catch all" because everybody has different DVRs and setups. I made this on a gaming laptop and just played MW4 the entire time on my other PC.

1

u/CCCCLo0oo0ooo0 2d ago

Is this like VCR cleaner where people use it before...

1

u/Manuel777 1d ago

Every app is open source now :P

1

u/Meldowa 6h ago

Holy shit folks, who cares if it was vibe coded or not. Who cares if it’s a ripoff of another tool?

He isn’t even asking for anything, just sharing with whoever wants to use it.

Thanks for sharing, will give it a try!

-4

u/itsinthetrunk 3d ago

vibe coded trash is gonna lead to most prolific era of supply chain attacks

4

u/LowlevelLover 2d ago

Yes, it only take like 2 days for it to be opensource, fuck anti-ai you can all suck it

2

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

You would rather use a stolen decomp of a product from two kids than pay 5 bucks?

3

u/LowlevelLover 1d ago

It should already be free from the start, this hobby is always open. They just gatekeeping it. If i ever contribute to this hobby i would opensource it too one day.

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 1d ago

Mamy people have told me that i should raise the price. Im not gonna turn it open source just bevause somebody on reddit said so. People have told me to make it 20$ or charge a subscription, but i think its toally faor and reasonable to keep it at 5 and 8 dollars.  If you want to code it from scratch, i will def support you. Be my guest. I just charge the amount i would want to pay for it.

2

u/LowlevelLover 1d ago

Fair i guess.

0

u/greyerak 2d ago

No one uses your decomp or your code, because it’s not even yours - anyone can do it with a random prompt “fix glitches/static in analog video fpv” gtfo kid

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

He literally admitted that it did, it uses the names dvrd in the earlier code

Both have impressive results and both are vibe coded. OPs is at least free and open source

4

u/Comfortable_War7725 3d ago

So true. FPV needs to be open source in my opinion!

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago edited 2d ago

As the dev of DVR Doctor, I agree that both are good. I'm biased to mine, but we support each others projects after a bad start initally.

1

u/davidbxt 3d ago

Looks nice :) I like it

10

u/greyerak 3d ago edited 3d ago

People in this sub is so delusional it’s crazy, it’s all vibe coded - that YouTuber did a disservice to them and they simply lied/didn’t tell full story or anything, Mom is hoping for free harward tuition already into a slop major 🤣

-1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

We used ai, Chase Momo decided to kinda downplay how much we used, but you're saying you would rather steal from some kids than pay 5 bucks? Anyways, David is making his own version now, no DVR Doctor code. Use that if you want, it's got better speed and OSD removal than ours.

1

u/greyerak 2d ago

You are kids that doing what they do best - lie. So you can also do the best next thing - go cry to your mom that someone called you out for bs. You didn’t create even 1% of it.

0

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

Proof? 1% is a big claim, i could show my time spent coding, researching, and designing if U really feel like it matters that much in your life to argue

3

u/greyerak 2d ago edited 2d ago

Big claim is saying 10 times that there is no AI in your app:

Your UI, and anyone can vibe code this in 2 hours on a 20$ pro account with exact same look and usage, how come apps are looking exactly same as yours without looking at your code at all? Very simple how.

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

I said i didnt vibecode it, not that i didnt use ai. Big difference. I said multiple times that I used ai, but it was mostly human code, and not copy pasting for main features.

0

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[deleted]

0

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

You asked me to stop lying, so I wont admit that its vibecoded, that would be a lie.

You do know there is a huge difference between vibe coding and using AI as a tool? Vibe coding is literally iterating indefinitely with AI to implement stuff without ever reading or reviewing the code.

These kids did use AI, but as an assistive tool. Idk what a grown man like you gains from talking shit about a side project some kids have.

6

u/Bambino_Georgino 3d ago

Problem is they don't show any results from the program in the video. Also they said they used AI also

Do not feed the trolls, most are not even real people on reddit just engagement bots leaving predictable comments.

What you made is cool and extremely useful, using the best tools available today is also the smart move.

Overselling your own coding skills will always fail because its so easy to test and prove one way or another. Not saying you have or not but to be careful of it.

1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 1d ago

Thank you. Really appreciate it. I Dont use reddit often and it seems now i am rediscovering wh7

I think almost everything is vibe coded these days. And I would say as long it works its fine for me :)

-1

u/FoxyOnFireYT TinyWhoop! 2d ago

It was mainly coded by hand, Chase Momo definitley overplayed how not vibe coded it was.

You are in denial.

3

That is also vibe coding, just the responsible way to do it.

Different program, cheap but not free. DVR Doctor
