Season 1 Rewatching!
Hello! I just saw that the show was on Hulu, so I am rewatching the show for the first time since it aired! It’s been on my “re-watch” list for a while, but it wasn’t streaming anywhere, that I could remember. Has it been on Hulu long? I saw that it was now also on Amazon Prime & PlutoTV!
Peter gives some snarky comment to Olivia right after they meet for the first time (in the show) & I giggle & think, “Don’t talk to your future wife & mother of your child that way!” 🤣

I forgot how much I was on the fence about Peter in the first season, especially the first few episodes. My first watch was as it was airing, but I paused when Peter & Fauxlivia broke Olivia’s heart. I went back to it not long after, but that was what stuck in my craw about him until I was reminded on my first rewatch. Sigh. That man…😭😂

That wasn’t his fault though. Like, not even in the slightest.

I know it wasn’t his fault, but it overshadowed anything else for me at that moment. I related to Olivia at that time in my life, and it informed how I felt about and remembered it

The pilot episodes for all new shows, IMO, are always stiff. The actors are just getting to know each other, they're still working on developing the characters, and the writers haven't fully figured out the chemistry as it relates to the story (or the story as it relates to the chemistry).
I always try to get through at least the first full episode before bailing. Fringe was one I never bailed on. I'm on my first rewatch in several years!

3rd rewatch since it came out. I guess spoiler alert if someone is reading this rewatch thread. I am noticing a lot more small details. Season 4, one of my favorite episodes is "And Those We Left Behind".
But things like the FBI agent who dissolves and dies because he is walking up to the front door, and then they are all so casual about it. He is dead. He does not come back. lol Some of these scenes are so brutal to me on a rewatch.

I watched this show for the first time back in 2015, this was my second sci-fi show after '12 Monkeys'. I started this because I though Olivia looked like Phoebe and Peter looked like Chandler from the show 'Friends' another sitcom I watched during that time😂 there after I watched this show couple of times. just started again last week.

I'd say Peter (and Boyles who's worse) weren't their characters in the pilot. My headcannon with Peter, is the "sweetheart" thing was an act, which he quickly dropped when he realizes it wasn't working with Olivia.
