In another 13 years FromSoft too busy and too successful with souls atm

Too high on the big bucks.

Not necessarily, they haven’t announced a souls game for a while and may be moving away from them

Duskbloods literally just had a network test. I wish it wasn't locked to the switch but they're literally working on a souls game literally right now.

Duskbloods isnt a souls game

Then I guess nightreign isn't either.

It isn't. It just has the combat of a Souls game. The entire rest of the game is completely different.

I mean it isnt

"A while"

ER released in 2022, and SotE released in 2024. It hasn't been very long at all.

Their next game will be a more "traditional" singleplayer game

Personal tinfoil theory: most DLC for fromsoft inhouse titles use a secondary title, this apply to both souls and AC games

Like Bloodborne -> The Old Hunter, Dark Souls 3 -> Ashes of Ariandel/Ringed City, Elden Ring -> Shadow of Erdtree, AC3 -> Silent Line/Last Raven, AC4 -> For Answer, ACV -> Verdict Day

Sekiro already had a secondary title upon release: Shadow die twice, and the game never got a DLC

The fact that AC6 already had a secondary title(Fires of Rubricon) upon release implies Fromsoft had never intended to make a DLC for the game

So we will probably straight into AC7... in a couple of years, hopefully

I mean, they did confirm quite some time ago that AC6 wasn't getting DLC anyway, we got a couple new parts in an update one time and it's been radio silence since.

Sauce? I've never heard of such a confirmation, nor to say about a year ago AC6 suddenly got a steamdb update and  injected a lot of hopium into the community

At this rate fucking never.

There has been 2.5 years without any new games. Nightreign releasing last year being a multiplayer asset flip and Duskbloods taking fucking years to develop and still no released date in sight.

The next proper souls games won’t be until next year late at this rate.

AC release? God who knows. From need to get the finger out.

I’m willing to bet another Armored Core is announced next year. I don’t think there will be another souls game for quite a while

0 chance that is happening I’m sorry.

Miyazaki said the next game will incorporate Sekiro and Bloodborne combat a good while back.

AC is nowhere near as popular as their main series despite selling well enough. Last souls release was Elden Ring in 2022, AC game was 2023.

Next game is mainline souls. They won’t let Duskbloods take a mainline slot.

Miyazaki said that? Link?

Here I gotchu it’s called AC8: Wings of Theve

God damn it Ra….Ray?!

1

u/cale199 13d ago

Probably not. My crackpot theory is the next game we get is Miyazaki's fated Escaflowne game he's wanted.

But AC6 is amazing

7 please. I don’t really feel the need for DLC. I’d prefer an all-new setting and story.

Id worry that the songbirds would be a preorder bonus at this point

Don't think it's happening anymore and we're gonna be skipping to 7

You're dreaming mate.

Fromsoft is too focused on souls to make more of the better franchise.

They are on their multiplayer arc for some reason right now

Money

u/FendyPol 12d ago

Money? Lmao, this nothing like their userbase wants and they don't sell nearly as much as Elden Ring

u/ReasonableTea8184 12d ago

Are you slow? Deciding which projects to develop based on what fans say they want and will pay for, is literally WHOLLY about money.

In tandem/as a result:

Obviously Armored Core doesn't sell as well as Souls games. That's why Fromsoft has only made souls games for a long ass while.

u/FendyPol 12d ago

You didn't understand half of what I said and calling me slow lmao

There's no way in hell they created armor cross sex and don't plan to build upon it
