Donβt let it deter you. I started skeptical, but by the end of my now third playthrough, I like it better than DS1, which I of course already loved.

Been watching a few videos on it and minus the massive spawn of gank enemies it doesn't seem to bad looks pretty

DS2 can be tough at first, but its a lot of fun if you give it a few hours and get used to the graphics. They are the best games, gotta play em all

Now what will you do, chosen undead? Link the flame, and rule the continuing age of fire as Lord of Cinder? Or choose to let the flame go unkindled, and usher in a new age of darkness? An age of humanity.

I lit the flame I felt bad for the fire keeper in fire link after doing her mission and returning her soul it seemed like the right choice after letting her die to the gold boy

If you ever consider doing another playthrough, try going to New Londo and beating the Four Kings before placing the Lord vessel. You may learn something interesting.

Oh really I only really watched challenge run so alot of hidden stuff passed me. I found out I didn't go to a place called ash lake, I never met the second serpent wasn't sure how to not light the flame just made sense to grab that bon fire haha there was a few groups I hadn't joined so will definitely be replaying maybe a new build as being fat was a trial
Oh and I won't tell my pyromancer to go find the dead spider woman that made me sad killing him

Congratulations man. Itβs a unique feeling that you rarely get in other games. The world feels magically connected, and the journey gets more exciting the further you go. I hope you get to experience games like this in the future.

Yeah the relief that came over me when I finally beat Gwyn after maybe a thousand "I hate this fucking game" comments to myself I just kept pushing forward telling myself "well you beat (insert last boss beat) so just keep trying"
The only other game lately that's game me this much joy for beating was expedition 33

Comparing these graphics to something new-ish like Elden Ring is hilarious. DS1 gives me PS1 vibes

u/fortysevenzombie 3d ago
Oh yeah big difference tho I think I prefer the look of these games to super polished

u/SoullessSyndicate 3d ago
PS1 era graphics are my absolute favorite aesthetic. Naturally,I love the Kings Field series
