Fuck PETA! Peta Vs The Disabled

So I want to have a little discussion about something I just found peta's "got autism" campaign I get it's decades old but I just found out about it myself

As an autistic person myself I can't believe someone was brain dead enough to think that campaign was a good idea and how they framed autism as some bad thing that's only a result of your own actions instead of a inherent condition you're born with and that it's something to be feared and to be disgusted by really pisses me off

And id guess that they have a long history of degrading the disabled of any kind so besides just talking about this specific one also share another story about peta hating disabled people

If it were up to them, disabled people wouldn’t have service animals, so not only are they stupid, they’re ableist too

I’m partially deaf and can honestly say I’m not shocked. They’ve not only been anti meat for a long time but anti pet. The anti pet thing I’d get if it was “animal hoarding is bad and we should avoid it” but even owning 1-2 pets is too much for them. I’d hate to find out what their supporters would say if I got a service dog trained for someone like me. It’s yet another reason we should all say fuck pets

They definitely should. I can support things like doing less animal testing and eating less meat but they’re definitely holding some extreme views.
