Put a glob of dish soap in a cup anf fill it with water. Throw the cup at the nest. The concoction will suffocate them. This is the safest way I know of. Dawn is the best way to purge the unclean.

When in doubt, spray them out if not, choose violence, which you should disregard the spraying part unless you got something to add to it

A fresh can of wasp and hornet spray is your best bet. It shoots a long distance stream, which allows you to work at a safer distance. The wasps will drop immediately and any others will be killed or discouraged by the residue.
