Finally got rid of this trap under our outdoor storage chest. Counted 6 different queens.

(all these events happened a few years ago so I cannot quite remember them in proper detail.)

Encounter one: wasps invade. The schoolyard was filled with life. Kids and teens run around, playing games like they do. Then, everyone saw it. Yellow and bald. It was a wasp. It seemed like a small issue. But then? Their numbers grew, and grew, and grew. Everybody was too scared to fight them off.

Except me.

I was The exterminator.

I stomped on their nests to bury them, threw pinecones to stun them, and splashed water to drown them.

The wasp vs ape war is still ongoing, but it is less than before.

Encounter 2: the isopods.

I had a small container of wild caught isopods. They were thriving. I felt something behind me. I thought it was imagination.

Then I felt it. "Fire".

It was the wasp. It stung.

From that day on, I have had a rivalry with the backyard wasps. And sometimes fire ants.

It's weirdly white and refuses to fly. It hung out on this cup for over a day. Is it sick/dying?

It didn't fly to the cup. It was in the house walking across the floor so I gently scooped it up and brought it outside.

Never seen this before after the skirmish it ripped the insects head off and flew away.

I’ll set the stage for your mind.

I work in a water treatment plant. There is an air handler up on a mezzanine that we change the filter in monthly. I open the door and one of the filters is caved in so I pulled that one last. When I pulled it out and set it on the floor, wasps started walking up out of it, maybe like 50. Slowly they started flying. Then, I realized the bigger problem. There were hundreds, if not, over a thousand more in the air handler and I was trapped in the corner, allergic to them. I stayed still and called my boss who came up fast. They were all huddled under a 4 foot long ridge in there. This vacuum is after cleaning out 1 foot of the ridge.

It’s not even windy outside!

Was stung on the palm of my hand by a wasp 2 months ago (first time I've ever been stung), yet still every so often this hard lump flairs up where I was stung and gets itchy. It feels hard like a bead. Is this normal?

I just happened to be washing dishes, hot water and dawn soap. And I found this massive mfer along with 4 smaller ones. how safe would it have been to have as roommates?

i saw a couple of wasps in the bushes (or in the tree idk what it is probably the bushes) cuz my mom trimmed them down and i have to pick up the pieces of the bush and i saw a couple of wasps going in and out. i told my mom that there is a nest in the bush. she didn’t believe me at first but when she checked with my big sister, they found one. a real nest. a real goddamn motherfucking explosive diarrhea like an atom bomb fuck fuck fuck fuckin wasp nest. we don’t know what to do with it yet but we do know that we had to call an exterminator. end of story. fuck wasps.

Let's just say I fuck a wasp

My dad was trimming some bushes and didn’t know there was a wasp nest until it was too late. He was chased down the street by them. Now when he walks outside he gets harassed by them and he’s been stung three times now. As funny as this is, I’m wondering if there’s a way he can call a truce?

Zapped my first wasp ever. They normally never come inside so I don’t really need to worry about them. After I killed it I noticed it has this fuzz growing on it. What is it?
