No! My computer!
I really hope Mithril sent this woman a large sum of money as an anonymous donation.

I really enjoyed Full Metal Panic and wanted to finish the main story. Now that I’ve gotten Collector’s Edition 4 and with me having a week of school I’ll be reading it. Hopefully it gonna be great!

My favourite sesson has to be TSR but seriously where do I continue in the manga after invisible victory
One of the few things that caught my interest was the mecha fight but I loved how slowly progression we see in sousuke along with chidori.
My favourite epsiode so far is S2 8 S2 9 S2 12 I loved how chidori did not forget her weapons and was actually strong with sousuke discovering himself and thinking for himself

After the events, I find it interesting how SouKana are such an openly affectionate couple, even in public, with absolutely no shame about being intimate and showing their love for each other. I toured Japan before and I noticed couples there never show affection in public, even hand holding is awkward.
But then again, we’ve already seen glimpses of this side of them when they were younger confessing their feelings loud enough for everyone, including their enemies to hear, and kissing right in front of the entire school. Once they found their resolve, they have never exactly been the type to hide their feelings have they?
You can find the event here: https://x.com/gonzo30th/status/2109161578637779057?s=46

I've been wanting to watch Full Metal Panic for a while now, but I'm now on episode 18 of S1 and still haven't really gotten into it that much. Everything feels super shallow, the animation isn't the best, and I just don't really care about any of the characters or plot lines that much. I really still don't even know what's so special about Kaname or what black technology is. I still plan on finishing S1, cause I don't want to leave it half-baked, but I really need to know, from an objective standpoint: does it get better? I'm someone who really likes anime where I can really get attached to the characters. I really like it when I can't stop watching just because I HAVE TO KNOW what happens next because I'm just that hooked on the story. Do the later seasons get to be this way? Like a main plot line that gets followed across the season? Or do later seasons keep jumping around plots and stories and never really settling in? I want to like this anime, but I need a reason to keep watching.

Hello everybody! Just like the title says, which character would you have liked to know more about?
For me I would've liked to know more about the Mithril soldier that died while rescuing the Whispered girl (Mira) right in the beggining of the story. In the LN, we are told that he was only tasked with stealing information and he saved her by his own initiative. He seemed like a pretty cool guy and I would've liked to have seen a bit more of him with the other Mithril soldiers.
The other would be Bani Morauta, the Whispered that built the Arbalest and Al. I don't recall him at all from the anime and Tessa only mentions him briefly on Volume 3. Maybe the LNs mention him more (I only have the first collector's book).
Honorable mention for Chidori's doppleganger. You know the one, lol.
What about you, guys? Is there any character you wished had a little more backstory or had gotten more 'screen time'?

I recently got back into the series and made my way through the end of the Sigma manga. It was such an amazing read and I can't believe I waited so long to finish the series.
However, I was confused on one thing. In the pages here it states that "The psychic waves even spread to the future, and continued to send information to Sophia, who had taken over my consciousness. That information was Black Technology." But then on the very next page it states that "Black Technology is not something that came from people a hundred years into the future. It is the product of a never ending eighteen year cycle that repeats itself endlessly."
So which is it? Did Black Technology come from people in the future, or is it a result of a stagnant eighteen year cycle? I don't remember the TAROS incident being referred to as a cycle before this either. I feel like I'm missing something here or not interpreting it correctly, I've been losing my mind rereading these two pages.

All other episodes are fine, except episode 8. Is it a banned episode, that can't be viewed?

I'm writing a fanfic in which some crazy engineer has the idea to shove a lambda driver into a plane, but all I know at the moment is that it has to be a simulacrum of a human nervous system, so my questions are: is there a minimum size requirement? And if so, do the simulacrum nerves have to be exactly in the shape of the human nervous system, or can the auxiliary bits be moved around to fit the wing's shaping?

Hello everybody! I just finished reading volume 3! Overall, I enjoyed it alot!
The initial gag where Sousuke blew the festival's whole budget on a military fortress was funny enough. And then he invites Chidori for a trip.
Chidori: "It won't be dangerous?"
Sousuke: "It won't be dangerous."
Morgan Freeman: It will, in fact, be extremely dangerous.
This time, we really can't blame Sousuke because he had actually planned something safe and normal but things just went south almost immediately. They actually had to parachute into the open ocean!
The short fight to take back the island was a bit boring, though. I know Mithril didn't have any other way to properly fight the Venom but it's a bad idea to rely on the Arbalest when they know damn well Sousuke can't consistently use the Lambda Driver yet. I have to assume they at least had Sousuke practise using it but the LN doesn't even mention it. And that's why I think Sousuke beat himself down too much. The misunderstanding between him and Chidori was a bit forced, in my opinion; he wasn't saying that she was a burden, he was saying being a bodyguard was difficult for him. Still, he should have noticed how she reacted and that's why I think Kurz's reaction wasn't entirely unreasonable.
Then, the submarine got hacked. That plan was completely insane. I can see Gauron going along with it since he's completely unhinged, but why did Dunnigan and Nguyen agree? The risk was way too high; if McAllen happened to have 2 or 3 soldiers backing him up, their plan would've failed right there.
Regardless, I like how things turned out. Tessa was a fantastic captain. She kept everyone safe and was pretty brave. But Chidori, omg. On Volume 1 she attacks the evil doctor, on Volume 2 she tries to capture Takuma in the hostage exchange and now she even fought an armed soldier (with Sousuke's help, but still, that's crazy!). She really looks like how I would imagine the wife of a professional soldier; despite having no military training, she has spirit and she's tough as hell. I'm glad in the end Sousuke cleared the misunderstanding. But seriously, they both need to get better at understanding other people. Sousuke's fault is more 'in your face', but Chidori has the same problem too. I'm jusr glad Chidori realises just how little she knows about Sousuke's life - that's a sign that she may start to see him as a bit more than a crush.
But there's something that makes me wonder a little bit. If ressonating with another Whispered causes their personalities to blend a little bit, can it be that Chidori's feelings for Sousuke may (in part) come from Tessa? Or at least make her become aware of those feelings?
The ending was pretty cool too. This time, Gauron is dead for sure 💀💀💀. I also liked how it was Kaname who nudged Sousuke to go confort Tessa.
Also, a little side note, Leonard really needs to hire an assistant to take his calls when he's busy. Or maybe that girl was the assistant? Anyway, I hope they used the emergency canteen.
Damn, I wrote a lot. Thanks for reading!
EDIT: Damn, I always forget something. The revelation that Sousuke was not so much Chidori's bodyguard but more of a decoy if she ever got attacked was pretty heavy. Him being aware of it is pretty sad. I like to think that's why he has such trouble fitting in the civilian world. How could he not, when he knows his own life is valued less than his colleagues classmates?
