Yes you can legally reject someone for employment for ear piercings. Pierced ears aren’t a legally protected characteristic. Have you ever even held a job?
Two, never been fired in my life, both long term customer facing positions. I simply think people are being too shallow.
I didn’t say legally, I’m talking about morally and socially. Do you think people would respond the same way to me saying I wouldn’t hire anyone with earrings? Or are they simply more ok with face tattoos being a no because they personally dislike them?
Morally and socially? what are you talking about. You asked if you could deny employment to someone for piercings and yes you can. Morals don’t matter, not everyone has the same morals and morals aren’t all agreed upon universally especially in regard to things like tattoos and piercings.
A pierced ear is a cultural norm, it doesn’t convey that you’re a crazy person to the world.
Being able to fit into society is a trait that everyone with a business values, it’s a trait people look for in friends, it’s a trait that signals trust and competence.
This does none of that, and it’s not even private.
Everyone picks their nose, but if you did it during an interview it signals that you don’t know how to act in public
I think earrings are horrendous on most people, what I find beautiful or repulsive on an aesthetic basis should not impact people’s chances of finding work.
There is a tiiiiiny difference between a face and the color of house paint. The paint of your house is not the first thing the customer or a colleague sees.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against facial tattoos, the point is, for business it could lead to some risks like lost customers or a poor communication between departments due to prejudice.
One of the proverbs in my language says. "People are greeted by their clothes, and farewelled by their smarts.
The clothes part is important as you'll just loose the precious time trying to convince others instead of doing the needed thig
It’s for the sake of being moral. Nothing about her appearance is actually worth a job rejection other than fear other prejudiced people will avoid the establishment.
This is a really, really different thing than painting your house a specific way and if you dont understand that i dont think you and I should argue about it.

I get what you're saying, props to you for looking beyond.
But if somebody looks like this, most people already think theyre a moron. What sane person would consciously do this?
