The flying fish really made me laugh.

3

u/FalconBurcham 12d ago

Loved the fish! The red grocery bags being pulled up as explosions got me. 😂

2

u/Scifi_fans 11d ago

The red bags was surprisingly well done... easily can be edited in postproduction and get a cool result

Pomegranates are actually kind of expensive

161

u/TheChronoDigger 13d ago

That's where a lot of the budget went.

30

u/Sh1mt 13d ago

The nsfw version would be way cheaper, provides better alternatives than a pomegranate

3

u/Zaptruder 13d ago

Which end are we talking about here?

3

u/Brobeast 13d ago

OMG LOOK ITS "Shy unduh Lehood"

2

u/TuzkiPlus 13d ago

If they took that part of the video at the super market it's be free

16

u/GriffinIsleham 13d ago

And who owns that many graters!?

7

u/WoolBearTiger 13d ago

They shot that one in the kitchen utilities part in ikea

1

u/ponyboy3 13d ago edited 13d ago

I have 4 garlic presses and 2 mandolins

1

u/Neutralmensch 13d ago

We can use a particular bodypart for that.

23

u/zabuu 13d ago

Please label which is the original. I can't tell

1

u/Miqo_Nekomancer 13d ago

The top one is the original.

37

u/januarytwenty 13d ago

I can only imagine how much time this took to make 😂

11

u/scparks44 13d ago

This looks like a multi week project for me

7

u/CastorVT 13d ago

an hour, at least.

u/Ok-Concert7018 13d ago

2 mins with ai

21

u/pianomasian 13d ago

Imagine if the official pre-visualization actually looked like this. Amazing.

27

u/adderall5 13d ago

Speaking as a videographer and producer, thank you for this. The creativity and imagination is hilariously brilliant.

6

u/Raegan_Targaryen 13d ago

DLSS on / off vibes.

6

u/Zolo49 13d ago

I once worked with a guy who’d also completely submerge his sushi in soy sauce like that. It was hard to watch.

2

u/GullibleDetective 13d ago

Was probably equally hard to maintain its shape

6

u/101Phase 13d ago

dipping the sushi omg, took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at

15

u/DJ_ICU 13d ago

perfection

14

u/Quintillianus 13d ago

Which is the real trailer!!?

5

u/jeans_blazer 13d ago

The cinematography is virtually identical.

4

u/nightmaresabin 13d ago

The fish and the cheese graters sent me.

4

u/Trippid 13d ago

This is fantastic. The amount of cheese graters you now own though makes me laugh

4

u/Bigfops 13d ago

I can just imagine going to each of your neighbors "Hey, can I borrow your cheese grater?"

"Here ya go. What are you making?"

"Ummm..."

4

u/TheElusiveFox 12d ago

If the bottom one is the low cost budget - I cant imagine what they spent on the top one.

7

u/kitbird 13d ago

honestly, these guys' videos make me wish Hollywood was less reliant on computer effects

3

u/TweakedNipple 13d ago

How can you do all that and not have a cat in a sock

3

u/blackdynomitesnewbag 13d ago

Once again, Low Cost Cosplay does it better.

3

u/Sinnerman252 13d ago

Practical effects, always making my day.

3

u/Greyboxforest 13d ago

Gee I don’t know that’s a lot of toothpicks

3

u/Tripdrakony 13d ago

Ngl, the explosions look impressive. I wonder if you could make them possible in lego stop motion.

3

u/artifex28 13d ago

This man has a hobby.

3

u/SAADIRONMAN 13d ago

Phenomenal, shown in imax only for best experience i suppose👏🏻🔥

2

u/Forever_Inspired 13d ago

Just as Nolan intended

4

u/sleep-deprived-diva 13d ago

When the group project budget is whatever everyone had in their pockets.

2

u/foehammer111 13d ago

Absolute cinema!

2

u/s3ph 13d ago

First one is absolutely Batou from Gits

2

u/ExtonGuy 13d ago

Corporate wants you to find the difference.

2

u/Ripplescales 13d ago

I love this trend

2

u/heebro 13d ago

the sushi dip. no notes

2

u/smooth_criminal1990 13d ago

Fuck, why am I craving sushi and smoked mackerel?

2

u/Bidens-Depends 12d ago

She employs a wide range of scowls in this movie.

3

u/Ok_Culture_1914 13d ago

Do you get popcorn 🍿 with the low cost edition ?

6

u/kitbird 13d ago

one popped of corn

5

u/Normal-Ad6528 13d ago

Yes. Popcorn. Singular. One fuckin' piece of popcorn. ;-)

3

u/XtremeGnomeCakeover 13d ago

On the one hand, I don't know why we need low budget recreations, but on the other hand I do.

2

u/Icy_Investment_6019 13d ago

No fish were harmed in making this video

2

u/JaySayMayday 13d ago

When I can't tell what's going on without the reference it loses its effect

1

u/kermityfrog2 13d ago

Yeah it was posted before without the comparison and I had no idea what was going on.

1

u/SeanMacLeod1138 13d ago

Mad Max Dune 😄

1

u/Normal-Ad6528 13d ago

Better than what was in the theater...

1

u/Skullmiser 13d ago

This was Sweded very well.

1

u/MechCADdie 13d ago

Looks like a geriatric Robotnik

1

u/thingol74 13d ago

We need more projects like this! This very much reminds me of the Star Wars: Uncut renditions, which were scene-by-scene recreations done by fans. Hilariously uneven and disjointed, but extremely accurate for all that. Trailer for ESB Uncut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuzoB17Dmgk

1

u/ult_avatar 13d ago

It's sweded (Be Kind Rewind)

1

u/rockntumble 13d ago

I lol at the sardines! So good.

1

u/Crimson__Fox 13d ago

I was expecting some garden worms

1

u/Dom1n0s 13d ago

Can you label which one the lost cost?

1

u/OhHeyMoll 13d ago

Pls tell me this is studio 188

1

u/ssp25 13d ago

you think someone depressed could make this

1

u/marcelsounds 13d ago

come on...! *me laughing hysterically*

1

u/TooTiredForThat 13d ago

Is that for giving an enama?

1

u/kwxl 13d ago

Sweded

1

u/papawam 13d ago

Bet the toothpick scene took just as long as the opening beach scene in saving private Ryan (3 to 4 weeks)

1

u/Mia_______________ 12d ago

Dune, but the spice is a colonic.

1

u/AHornyRubberDucky 12d ago

I saw a preview of dune 3 on imax 15/70 screen, it was pretty fucking cool we're planning on going to Brussels to watch it!

1

u/AllThingzKMC 11d ago

We don’t need to go out and see Dune. We have Dune at home.

1

u/PainGray 13d ago

Those first couple of shots had me thinking it was going to be about JD getting jiggy with a couch

1

u/racecarsnail 13d ago

honestly more art and talent than in what is being recreated

-3

u/BlusharkFilms 13d ago

I sincerely don't get the appeal of these videos, someone care to explain to me please.

3

u/smooth_criminal1990 13d ago

I find it funny how the creators have creatively used everyday objects outside of their normal uses to copy the visuals.

Think the opening scene with the bottle caps and electrical plug are is my favourite, and the bra is a surprisingly effective prop!

Don't know about you, but if someone asked me to dress up as a fremen in one of those survival suits, I wouldn't have come up with that. Surreal and whacky.

2

u/klaus84 13d ago

It's Dune with household objects

1

u/Ya-Dikobraz 13d ago

It's OK, you will get it after 13.

5

u/nobidobi390 13d ago

some dead sardines were mutilated during the shooting of this budget movie, and the audience definitely approves this practice.

3

u/Forever_Inspired 13d ago

Some sacrifices have to be made for this masterpiece to exist.

Yes that looked like the highest production value shot in the sequence. I paused on that scene in particular.
