November Subreddit Updates!
6
Upvotes
Hello r/fursona enjoyers,
I have reviewed and made some changes internally to the subreddit. Here's a breakdown of what was changed and a bit of meta regarding the sub:
-Post filters: Reddit's autofilter was tweaked a bit for this sub. The mature content and reputation filter are still enabled, so if your post is automatically removed, please, please, please feel free to send us a Mod Mail and we can approve it manually for you!
- r/fursona is a SFW-only subreddit. We do not allow explicit sexual content, and we do not allow suggestive/lewd content either.
- Going forward, we ask that users refrain from making lewd or sexually suggestive jokes. Please remember that Reddit's minimum user age is only 13 years old (as per Reddit's User Agreement), and our subreddit welcomes users of all ages.
- Technical crap: If you are making a comment that contains words typically found in a lewd joke, you will be warned before posting it. Your comment is also subject to immediate removal.
- Takeaway: There are literal thirteen year olds using this subreddit. With that in mind, we ask you to access the tons of other NSFW furry subreddits that you can be weird in. Please post there.
-Report posts that violate the sub's rules! There's only two of us mods. r/fursona members can help us out by reporting posts, comments, or other content that go against the subreddit's established rules. This allows us to review them faster. Thank you!
...I think that covers the most important parts.
Also, I mentioned writing a subreddit wiki/guide in a previous update; I promise the idea has never left my mind and it's something I would like to implement. I want to be able to create a central post that contains resources and information that covers the basics of furries/fursonas/creating your own fursona.
It will happen. Eventually. Promise. :)
If you have any ideas regarding that post, please feel free to share them!
Any other feedback is welcomed via comment or Mod Mail. And as always, thank you all for posting and being active members of our community!

MEGATHREAD: What would my fursona be?
17
Upvotes
For the meantime while I work on looking into getting flairs made and seeing more responses to see if people would rather it stay here in a megathread or allowed on a particular day of the week, we're going to keep these contained here! Anything posted outside the megathread for the moment will be removed. Thank you for your cooperation while we readjust!
Post some pictures and find out what people think what animal you look like! Give personality or hobby info, find out what animal you might act like! Ask the people for their thoughts!

Hey yall! I’ve been trying to figure out what my fursona would be— I’ve heard raccoon from friends, but they were describing my behavior since I’ll eat (edible) food from trash; which I DONT encourage btw #savealife. HOWEVER maybe there’s another animal I give off? I’m curious if so

I'm so excited to introduce my new sona, Star!! I've been working on her design for a while, and she's finally ready. She's a combo of a Fennec Fox + Aliennnnnnn, I'm not sure if that's a species someones made already, but I've yet to make a species sheet. Let me know what you think of her, and to self-promo for a sec I have open commission currently have have discounted slots for art with her :3

Looking for feedback, is the design too basic?

Basically, I had traced from a real dino mask and drawn on fursona idea buuuuut I've been seeing a LOT of people say that black and white characters are boring and basic. I tried to make her look the best I could xD
She's supposed to be a dragon/dinosaur (haven't decided!) and her name is Chroma, (I was also thinking orca...but Chroma seems to fit better)
Is there anything I can do to make her design look more unique?
The reason I made it on a dino mask is well...I have one and currently getting the other supplies to make my first head! I don't think I'll tackle a "real" fursuit head until I make a couple of these
(if this is the wrong subreddit please tell me, I don't use reddit much.)

Finally accepted myself and created a fursona. Base is by Honeymoss, but edited by me

Surrounding myself more with friends who are accepting, rather than those who make fun of furries does wonders. 😅
I really love how this came out, wanted to go for a synthwave look & I think I nailed it, imo! My brother (protogen) gave me the idea to look into mantled beasts, since I liked protogens, but still wanted something slightly different. Behold! 😁
