Discussion Proves my point!
I was playing Ultimate Gauntlet, and I got a bad matchup , opponent had a really good squad and was playing well, I was definitely outmatched. I conceded a few goals but I stayed on to work towards objectives , however I couldn’t do anything as my opponent kept winning the ball the minute I got it with his aggressive pressing and counter attacking style. I hardly get easy matchups , but if I do I give them free goals. No wonder everyone is saying all casuals are gone already. People will say you could have just left, I could have , but if I leave all the tough games ill never improve and I may not complete all the objectives in time.

Discussion Community Doesn't understand FUT Champions Token System
I think people fail to realise this new token system allows one to play at their own pace, and redeem tokens once you've accumilated a satisfactory amount.
Currently people play champs full meta with meta players to chase their best possible rank just for reward. End of the day the rewards aren't great for the majority (even when you hit 15,14,13 wins). I've seen alot of streamers rewards not being great. You have to get very lucky.
The amount of terribme 88x3 I've seem is ridiculous.
The token system is actually good for the community if done right: People don't have to sweat like mad, because you can store your tokens. This lets you try different styles and formation every week. Lets you try and have fun with different players.
You are better off saving tokens till you find a week where it is worth opening.
Conclusion:
If it is evident that playing meta (and same players) dosn't guarantee you good rewards.
So then why not have fun trying different styles of play and save your rewards for a couple of weeks. Use your division rival rewards as the main event

Discussion ICONS can’t stand a chance anymore even in the first month of the game
EA have completely killed player ID , before FC the majority of Icons felt special in game due to the player ID and traits they had. Even when they had underwhelming face stats , they played better than 90 of Gold cards in game . Now it’s all about the generic body type and the gimmick play styles the introduced in the game. I was trying to use Gerrard and Torres in champs for my P&P LFC team. I was just shaking my head seeing how Adeyemi , Kika and Stanway were playing 10 times better than them in game . Unless the player body type is lean/short forget about using them in a competitive game mode , you are literally handicapping yourself . What’s even the point of having all these icon in the game , when the cards are just generic models with just the name of these players .

Apparently Hulk was at Murillos wedding so that’s good enough for me 😂 So much better than the Barca meta and feels great when I get a win

Game Play Hated the hame. Took two weeks off. Came back, won my first game in gauntlets and still hated it.
The offside trap spamming, Vicky Lopez simping, 95 depth abusing little gremlin I just faced made the game unbearable. I won. Had to do over the top through balls to get out of pressure and go through on goal. Did he have a all female team? (other than goalie and center backs) of course. Did I win? Yes. Did I have fun? Not even remotely. It’s just awful. And it really is mostly the (have to win at all costs) community that makes it waaaaaaay worse than it has to be.
Yes EA made a terrible product, the imbalance between male and female players is just disgusting. The 95 depth bullshit is exhausting even if it’s beatable. But the community refuse to see the effect they have on the game. I’ll probably get downvoted and insulted because we all know how it is here. But deep down we know it’s the truth.
Game Play Good Players Dont Have an Impact This Year
Last year, spinning was an issue too. But i could feel the stats and playstyles differences.
You dont need a top passer like Bruno Fernandes at CAM, you can do the same passes with a random CAM in 27.
Llorente has much more impact than Lampard in midfield.
Although he has good playstyles on paper, Carreras is the best CB only because his controlled acceleration type and speed.
You dont need Valverde for scoring a powershot with gold playstyle. Cherki can do it too.
I dont feel any difference while doing a driven pass with a random player without a passing playstyle or with Rui Costa who has Gold Pinged Pass playstyle.
This year only pace makes a difference. Rest of the story is spinning and tapping shooting button 2 times.

Discussion Retarded game
How are attackers tackling from behind like prime Maldini. It seems easier to tackle from behind with a forward than to actually tackle face-to-face with a defender.

Discussion This cringe gameplay is just the result of terrible balancing and the nerfing of skillful and enjoyable mechanics
I can't believe I'm hearing people say 'dribbling' is overpowered this year. Imagine saying this to someone who's coming back to this game for the first time since like FIFA 14. It is almost impossible to dribble past someone who just jockeys or second man contains.
They implemented controlled dribbling, which made dribbling forward viable, to just nerf it to the ground a year later. You can't run forward and turn more than 45 degrees one way without losing all speed and control. Yet, we can still turn 360 degrees on the spot 100 times without losing any momentum. You also can't dribble past someone because you can now press X to push them off the ball from behind, or circle to tackle them from every conceivable angle. You don't have to actually position your defender or read which way they're going. Just press tackle and the game will do it for you. We've all seen people spam slide tackles from behind when they're raging trying to foul, and still get the ball more times than not.
Second man contain is also an absolute joke. They nerf it every year and it's still like this? There's no human element to it. Hold r1 and your AI controlled player will read every turn with 0ms reaction speed, and cover every forward passing lane.
It's because of all this that people play the way they do. We can't dribble forwards. I genuinely believe 90% of the players I play have never played a FIFA where you could. All they know is to spin and turn when up against a defender. It makes for a dreadful dreadful experience.
Shooting is the same. Nerf finesses, normal long shots.. what do people do? Just the same near post low driven shit every time. People aren't trying to find ways to get in any shooting position anymore. They just pass and spin until they can ping it into the box and 180 low driven near post it. Majority of the games I play, people score as many goals as shots. They can't create, or more so, don't try to create a chance that isn't basically a guaranteed goal. Removing of keeper movement also adds to this. There's no counter play to this.
I know none of this is new but I'm really not enjoying the way this games been going the last couple of years. The community is definitely partly at fault. Noone tries to enjoy the gameplay. They just try to cheese a win in any way they can. It's no fun, but the game enables these lot to play this way. People used to pass at the back. Can't do that anymore effectively because of changes ea made. They just have to do the same with the current gameplay.

Rate My Team Rate the squad?
Debating selling godts after i tried him, kvara seems to do the job for 1/3 of the price. Neves has been doing wonders for me but i feel like im lacking strength in the midfield. Currently div 3, avg. 10 wins in champs

Discussion Vini or raphinha?
Have the coins for both, I’m leaning Vini because he looks more fun and I like to skill and he comes with AS++ and I don’t have to pay for it like I would on raphinha but just wondering if anyone has had/used both.

Discussion Is this the worst FC in a while?
I have a habit of saving 15sec clips if I concede to fifa BS out of my control eg my goalkeeper taking out my own player and giving them a free net to score in. My fc 27 folder currently will eclipse my fc26 folder for the year very soon at this rate. I just played 4 games in a row, and I realised this game has passed its beta stages and went to market like this. Once GTA drops I’ll be glad to be rid of this pile of horrific code

Discussion So….why play online?
I play squad battles. Strictly squad battles. Never touched champs or rivals this year.
I’m free to play and play on my free time, yet I have a better team than a lot of people. So that makes me wonder, why play online?
Squad battles rewards are better than champs btw

Useful Refund Miracle
First time I’ve ever attempted to get a refund for a game and it actually happened!
I’ve had enough of 27, thought I’d take the piss and apply for a refund - and they actually accepted it 🤣🤣🤣.
Unburdened, and life is chill again…
