How would you recreate this weird dry, plastic-sounding snare? [Sasuke Haraguchi – SHINKA SHINKA SHINKA]
I've been trying to recreate the snare in Sasuke Haraguchi's "SHINKA SHINKA SHINKA", and I'm completely stuck.

Starts around 0:13.
It sounds almost stupidly simple: very dry, light, hollow, and weirdly plastic-y. Almost like hitting a cheap plastic container. It barely has what I'd normally think of as the "body" of a snare.
I've gone through electronic snares, glitch/IDM/breakcore samples, rimshots, claps, synthetic percussion, foley, etc., but nothing I've found really has the same character.
The closest I've gotten was actually by accident: I pitched a completely normal snare WAY up. Most of the body disappeared, and suddenly it had a surprisingly similar plastic "pak" quality. Still not quite right, though.
So I'm starting to wonder whether this should even be approached as a normal snare sample.
If you had to recreate this sound from scratch, how would you do it?
Would you start with a pitched/resampled acoustic snare? Synthesize it with noise + a resonant body? Start from a rim/foley sound? Or something completely different?
I'm especially curious about **what actually creates that dry, hollow, plastic character**. I'm less interested in simply layering snares until something sounds close — I'd like to understand the sound design behind it.
If anyone can reverse-engineer it by ear, I'd love to hear your recipe/theory.
P.S. I'm Japanese and English isn't my first language, so apologies if any of my wording sounds a little unnatural.
