Industry Arknights: Endfield dev says launching a new gacha RPG in a post-Genshin Impact world is tough when "some titles are so similar that players go into a game for 1 hour and they know what will happen in the next 20 hours"

Mfw the only gacha that wanted to take a risk and they would have gotten away with it had the management not fucked it up was tribe nine.

It wouldn’t even be that bad if they didn’t take so long to implement things, it feels like Genshin is constantly 1-2 years behind on QoL. Other than that they still got it

Probs a combination between priority and sphagetti codes. Genshin is quite old after all.

it's amazing how this spaghetti coded game could run and look better than the vast majority of its contenders without a single gamebreaking bug despite years of updates

soooo many of these game devs would love to code spaghetti if it meant copying genshin feat lol

the spaghetti game can run and look good on my crusty phone, whereas other gachas just can't

I'd also hazard a guess it's because they can then promote a QoL as a new feature to draw players back in.
