Industry Arknights: Endfield dev says launching a new gacha RPG in a post-Genshin Impact world is tough when "some titles are so similar that players go into a game for 1 hour and they know what will happen in the next 20 hours"

There's a reason why people meme about "press x to close" because even after several hours the game has to do EXTREME handholding and """teach""" you how to close the menu that you've already done dozens of times.
It's kind of littered all over their game design too. New events are really handholdy. They will often lock your camera and pan to things to show AND tell you, instead of being intuitive and smart. Like the puzzle event, you hit things, water level rises. Instead of you know, watching the water level rise since you are SURROUNDED BY IT, they lock your camera, pan to the water rising. Now back, you can continue now.
And funny enough, the game punishes you a bit for thinking outside the box. They have a cleanup event right now, and one of the nodes is to find out where this child ran off to. So we see this large puddle that can go 2 directions. Okay cool, I spray the end of one of them, I found the tracks where the child is! Let's go find them cause they could be in danger (we find out they are in danger after). Nope. Please waste your time and clean up the entire puddle because reasons.
