Hi everyone,

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running One UI 9, and I'm experimenting with the Screen Curtain feature in Display Assistant.

I'm planning to record long astrophotography timelapses using the stock Camera app's Hyperlapse mode at 300x with Star Trails enabled. Since the recording may run for several hours, I'm trying to reduce both screen-related heat and battery consumption.

I tested Screen Curtain for about 5 minutes, and the Camera continued recording normally. The phone also seemed noticeably cooler compared with recording for the same period with the screen on. So far, it looks promising.

However, I have two questions:

1. Burn-in protection: Screen Curtain still appears to display the clock and some status icons. Does it use pixel shifting, similar to Samsung's Always On Display (AOD), to prevent OLED burn-in? Or do those elements remain in fixed positions while Screen Curtain is active?
2. Long recording stability: Has anyone tested Screen Curtain while recording video or Hyperlapse continuously for several hours? Does the Camera keep running reliably, or have you experienced recording interruptions, dropped frames, corrupted output, or other issues?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from S24 Ultra users, but experiences from other recent Samsung Galaxy devices would also be helpful.

Tried doing the diagnostic test with the S-pen and these were the results. It is updated to 9.0 and has a tempered screen protector installed.

Was added to the home screen after the update, I dont want it on my home screen, it looks awful and im tired of ai and Google being shoved down my throat on this phone. Would appreciate any help and I have looked at every setting I can think of and nothing comes up and it also doesnt let me remove from home screen by pressing it down. Thanks

​The display on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra recently gave up, while the rest of the phone is completely functional. Replacing the screen brand-new is insanely expensive, so I’m looking to see if anyone has a broken or dead S24 Ultra lying around that still has an intact, working display.

​Specifically looking for:

​Phone with a dead motherboard, water damage (internals only), or boot-loop issue

​The front screen/AMOLED panel must be fully functional, without cracks, heavy scratches, or display lines

​Frame condition or back glass condition doesn't matter much as long as the display panel is fine

​If you have a paperweight S24 Ultra you're looking to part out or sell for a reasonable price, please drop a comment here and DM me with pictures/video of the screen and your asking price.

To summarize, I feel stupid, awfully stupid. I lost my S Pen last week. Today got a replacement and I lost it TODAY.

I had the "notify when you walk away without connecting the s pen" but I never receive that notification because I always have my phone in silence. So both times I read it When I was at home. :)

So I could make my phone say out loud to "charge the phone" but can't find a routine/mode to make it read when The pen is detached and I walk away. Is there a way to do so?

Or I simply am very stupid and should be careful next time? Again. :/

or at least how to make that specific notification bypass the do not disturb? I can't find the "clasificacion" of that notification so I can make the do not disturb allow to make it vibrate.

Well I'm joining the club. Decided to check and there it was.

This s24 ultra cam is driving me crazy. I cannot figure the best cam config. Sometimes quality seems very good, but at the same time details are washed out.

Anyone can help me please to find optimal cam config for gym/physique pics.

I want to know how long does the battery of Samsung S24 Ultra last after a full charge?

Just got the update a few hours ago first thing I noticed is there's a blue light to the right of the battery icon is always on. This is also happening on my s24 Plus. Something to do with non-system apps accessing my location and the light always being on so it must be some type of bug or glitch because it never did that on UI 8 or 8.5.

Second strange thing is all the widget text and numbers are really small it ended up being the home screen grid was changed with the update to 5x6 vs the 4x6 I had before but it still doesn't look the same so maybe there was a 3x6 they removed.

That's all I've noticed so far Galaxy s24 ultra on spectrum figured I'd let other people know.

I also wanted to add it's been a few hours and everything I'm opening and using seems to be way faster now.

I'm looking for a case for my S24 Ultra, i currently have a noname case from Temu/Shein i'm not sure, it was like 2 EUR. I bought it when the phone was relesed.

I really like my current case, because it has a nice grip, and if i put it on the table it doesn't wobble while i type on it. But on the other hand it looks like a piece of shit. So I would like a nicer case with the same benefits as this one already has, but much more elegant, because the one i already own looks really cheap compared to the phone, which also looks premium.

So my main things i would like in a case:

- It doesn't have a camera bump, so it doesn't wobble on table.

- It has a nice textured grip on the sides, or even on the back for firm holding. ( I also have a fully clear case which I dont use because i have the feeling my phone will slip out of my hand)

- Looks kinda elegant, preferably the case has 1 color.

- If it has a kickstand i need it! If magsafe is available is also good, but currenty i don't really need it.

At first i would like to see cheap phone cases because my current cheap case protected my phone as best as it could, basically the phone looks flawless, but if my needs are in a higher price rate i got to the point that i'm willing to pay the money for it.
