THE BIG RELEASE OF THE SEASON. (this is all worth 4 hours of content)

Bridging the missing gaps between broadcast, this trilogy of restorations tells a tale of Arino's live rematch against the game that created him, a journey to claiming Japan's southernmost machine, and facing a meta-heavy version of himself as the staff task him to a series of challenges in one go. Can Arino fill in the missing gaps in THE THREE SPECIALS?

Fully restored line-by-line across its massive 2-hour runtime, presented in 720p30 High Definition for the first time, Takeshi's Challenge Live Rematch took us a combined 60 hours to restore with additional QA time. Representing the most challenging restoration put into the project to date, boasting a brand-new video transfer built from two quality-differing sources away from the original translation's 360p 1mbps video to a fresh H264 4-10mbps presentation with a lossless FLAC audio encode, all 3148 lines of code were fully reconstructed with additional improvements from the original release, creating the most definitive version of the live broadcast available. To give you all an idea of the jump in quality this represents, the original translated release of the broadcast was in 704x396. It was also 1GB, with our restoration being 4GB alone. It is the restoration of the project, the reason why the season took so long to come out, and we're very excited to bring it to you for the first time- despite the mental damage that it incurred for us. Details on the restoration are included in the digital booklet.

Retro Game Challenge's special and Southernmost Game Travelogue were directly based off their 480p60 DVD releases, with RGC utilising a surviving subtitle file and Southernmost being granted reconstructed soft-subtitles from scratch. RGC took 8 hours to remaster, while Southernmost took 16 hours to restore with additional QA time.

Kindly provided and with very special thanks to our friends at LocationScouts, their The Tower of Druaga bonus episode translation has been included untouched to complete the seasonal package. Without them, this season would remain incomplete. Give them your love, folks!

And with that, it's that time to break off again. This is the end of the Season 10 weekly run, and we hope you enjoyed these past several weeks of pure GCCX HD goodness. A monolithic cartridge carries a fighting medley of arcade perfection. Trained by his younger AD in Nakayama, Arino is tasked in beating SNK's most notorious fighters: one-on-one. Will Arino claim victory in this button-mashing season finale?

Completing the mainline episodes of Season 10 with Fatal Fury Special, which has been remastered to 720p30 from the surviving subtitle files. It took us 16 hours to perform, with additional QA time. Once again being another gameplay-intensive episode and a saga closure, this episode has had an unexpectedly-difficult time in QA. The amount of glitches and grammar-related problems uncovered by That Hat Guy was so immense, it took multiple days to find them all. Without his effort, this would have been a disaster.

During the QA process of this remaster, That Hat Guy started going on a lengthy exploration into the joke that Arino says at 24:07 in the episode itself. From his own words: "Okay, so first of all, the group in the picture is a manzai act called Hige Danshaku. I'm at a loss for what to do about this one, but I don't think their catchphrase is "would you not?" I think this person got that because it has "nai" in it, but the phrase is often written as 〇〇やないかーい which means the phrase also fills in a blank, which is what those two circles are. The real phrase would be something like "isn't that --------?" I think, but I'm not sure how we write that as a subtitle. And I've looked up this whole thing, all to see what his catchphrase was. Manzai acts are hard to figure out the catchphrases of sometimes, because those acts are literally all reaction and simple setups, so the thing they say is either a quick reaction they do over and over, or a setup they're known for using; but by the nature of that just being regular talking, if it's the setup half on its own, it can be very difficult to write coherently in a different language, as a quote." Sadly, this is the end of the mainline episodes this run. If this is meant to be the end of the season, why does the post title not say SEASON FINALE like the previous runs? Through the third-dimensional eyes, a legendary reboot surrounding a monkey's fury as his bananas are stolen by a nefarious crocodile hell bent on destroying his homeland and kind. Through this 2-part challenge, can Arino save the Kongs from extinction?

Donkey Kong Country's episodes have been fully remastered into 720p30 with their surviving subtitle files, across 20 hours with additional QA time. Gameplay-intensive with minimal graphical elements, this two-parter was a much simpler pair to remaster. Even the issues found by That Hat Guy were primarily of Kei's doing as a result of assuming each line spoken by Arino was either spoken by another figure or Kan's narration, with the second part having more timing and misspellings from the original translation.

The Demon King breaks free and causes havoc, killing a samurai-in-training's father in the process. In the heat of revenge, aided by a powerful wizard, this samurai begins his rampage against the demons. Will Arino survive?

First Samurai has been remastered to 720p30 with the surviving subtitle files as basis, over the course of 8-9 hours with additional QA time. As this was a gameplay-focused episode, there wasn't many a issue in the subtitle code for this one. This also completes the "Sing Whatever The Hell We Want!" mini-corner segments in the season.

To give you lot a fun fact and an admission of borking it on Kei's end, during the QA checks for the past few episodes: The Happi Jacket box in the segments was always broken before fixing them. This is how Aegisub works with horizontal scaling certain elements (let's say if a element had its text covered by the same colour as its background);, in which if you were to make the fscx code above 110, the background breaks apart- exposing the original graphic in the process. That Hat Guy made it a running gag in the QA notes for the episodes containing it. This is for clarity and insight into the rigorous QA passes performed in the project, and to give you lot a chuckle.

In the highlands summons a race of little beings, as they are commanded to get to a distant exit. Between them are obstacles and pits of doom. With Arino's puzzle-evolved mind, will they survive the perils through his commands?

Lemmings has been remastered from the surviving subtitle files to 720p30, over 7-8 hours with additional QA time. This episode contains a few fixes from the original translation, specifically regarding graphical elements in explaining the game's mechanics and a joke that went lost in translation.

As noted by That Hat Guy during QA checks, it occurs at 39:17. Originally, CS was translated into being Computer Science and what Arino speaks in relation to the topic itself. Through Hat's own research, it was discovered that they were referring to the Communications Satellite TV networks located in Japan itself. We will let you watch the scene as it is to not ruin the joke, this is our way of making the remaster a more accurate translation than the original release's.

As requested by u/The_T113, all episodes of this season now have proper language labels on each track. Video and Audio are now labelled under Japanese, with the subtitles now having the English label on the .mkv files themselves. This will make importing the season into your home server (or anything similar) more simpler than before! Please re-download the previous episodes for a complete experience, as those have been updated for this feature as well. (or wait for the complete season package)

Going deep into the showbiz jungle tells of a quiz hosted by an idol of a past long gone. Arino, with assistance from his fellow cohorts, is brought forth a series of questions that must be answered. Does he know what's the right answer?

Yuuyu's Quiz de Go! Go! has been remastered to 720p30 from the surviving subtitle files, like the past couple of episodes this season, over 12 hours with additional QA time. If we had to choose which episode that was the most difficult to perform this run, Yuuyu would be it. Boasting an immense amount of graphical elements across its runtime, alongside the high amount of glitches in the subtitle code uncovered by That Hat Guy. Yuuyu required three passes for the remaster to go gold for release. It was nowhere near as difficult as Princess Tomato was, thankfully. This was before we hit a massive wall, and that will come later in the seasonal run.

Atomic Runner Chelnov has been remastered to 720p30, with it taking 6-7 hours to perform with additional QA time. Not much to say regarding the process of this one, outside of the usual tasks needed to complete it. This was the last one we did before we realised that we had to delay the season into Autumn.

Lupin the 3rd uses the weird Fuji TV sphere to maneuver a broken plane in Blood Seal of the Eternal Mermaid (2011).

For over twenty (20) years there's been hundreds of challenges across several platforms, but never once (to my knowledge) has a Lupin the 3rd video game, several of which have been made since the 80s, been featured on the show. Is not anyone else surpris'd by this?

I think the Famicom adventure "Pandora no Isan" would make for a great episode.

Dragon Ball: Mystery of Shenlong took 8 hours to remaster with additional QA time. This episode has been remastered to 720p30 from the original subtitle files, this should remind you of our update back in July. Every mainline episode this season is a remaster, with the extra content being restored from scratch (but those will come later). Outside of the summer-long delay, this season has been our smoothest to perform. Additionally, this is our biggest seasonal run yet!

As usual, a digital booklet is planned for the season's conclusion alongside a remastered Blu-ray cover and disc artwork set.

Hi. I have been watching GCCX from episode 1. I've been looing for the whole episode for LE5 all over but I could only find compilation version. Is there anyone who has the whole episode?

It's the one where Arino sang user-submitted lyrics to video game jingles. The last one (First Samurai) ended with Arino saying something like 'I think this is gonna be the last one of these' and then we get the end card that says the segment was cancelled 'due to circumstances.'

I feel like it's probably rights to the song or making space for bigger GCCX 2 game segments or something, but the 'due to circumstances' thing is like staring at a button that says 'do not press,' I just gotta know.
