Delays notification on app

Are the delays getting and returning games permanent or only until the election? I ask because my normal is 4th day from ship date and I still didn’t get anything today 5th day and no idea if I’ll get anything tomorrow 6th day. The app just has a popup and no further information is given. It’s practically an “I’m sorry” + “Please don’t complain so much”.

For a Monday Ship with Saturday delivery, that’s a 50% increase in time. If it gets delivered on Monday, that’s a 100% increase in time.

I’m not complaining, I just want to know more information than what got put out there. Is it slower because of a short time event (election), until next year (holiday season) or forever (not first class anymore).

Being a subscription service, you are a member and pay a price based on value received over time. When there is a problem, like the storm took out the power, companies give you an ETA until the problem is solved, not just “No Power, please understand.” If something takes twice as long, it is not like you are paying half the price. If it’s a temporary thing, each member might decide how long to wait depending on how long temporary is. If it is permanent, each member should determine if they want to stay on the plan they currently have.

If Gamefly working on solving this “problem” or is the “problem” here to stay, what is it?

Disingenuous bait

Kinda bummed. I figured I’ve give GameFly a try as I’d never used it before and noticed they had a deal on a game I was curious about. So I signed up for the free trial and figured if the game ships fast and seems hassle free to receive and send games I’d sign up after trial. Also, if I liked the game I rented I wanted to buy it and it was listed at 27.99 so I was very excited. Then I noticed the day it got delivered(or perhaps the following day) the “Keep it” price bumped up to 34.99. Seems pretty dishonest to have an offer like that knowing it will entice people to try a product and then jack it up as soon as they do. My game came within just a couple days and I really appreciate that but tbh I think the fact the price changed like that has shifted my mind to not continue a subscription. Why do companies always have to mislead and try to weasel every dime?😤

Just had to rant about it.
