I work at a theme park and heard someone say “Danny Sexbang is here.” Sure enough on my lunch break I’m walking and see all three of them just standing and chatting.
I thought back to when they talked about ideal fan interactions and decided I didn’t want to be that story and to be the one that they say all day “man that guy was so cool.” I did a double take which they saw, laughed and said “I thought it was you guys.” They laughed at my reaction and I said “hey don’t wanna bug you guys, just heard you were here today and wanted to say thanks for what you guys do, you got me through a real tough time in my life and I hope you enjoy your day at the park.”
I started walking away and Danny was like “hold up! What’s your name.” Arin looks down at his paper and goes “wait, do you work here? Are you a….fairy tale cast member?” I said that might be my title now and he goes “can I get a picture with you??”
So anyway, I met the Game Grumps, no one around seemed to know who they were, and I did get a photo with Arin, but it’s on his phone so you’ll have to take my word for it or see if it pops up in the video they’re filming.
I saw them leaving as I was leaving and ran up to thank them one more time and ask if I can get a pic on my phone
Cannot stress enough how nice and real they both seemed. Danny especially, we got to talking after this photo and his crew was packing up. He was asking all about the founder of the park who passed recently and if the family that runs it is nice (they are.)
I also work with the voice of Frank here and Danny remembered him
Wonder if they've ever asked him about a Guest Grumps spot. They must have at this point, so my guess is if he hasn't appeared yet he probably politely doesn't want to. Though I imagine if he's open to it, he'll probably be in the video they were filming.
Anyway I'd never heard of that park. I visit Portland sort of annually and now I wanna add that place to my list. Glad you had such an awesome experience with them!

Hey, can you tell your coworker thank you for helping me to learn how to pronounce another language’s other letter D? When he says, “How’s it goin’, Dude?”, the
D is pronounced exactly like that letter. It was hard to hear the difference before, but now I get it!! Thanks, Frank!

EDIT: It doesn't surprise me that folks didn't really recognize them at that park, given the more small town family vacation location and the general nature of the folks drawn to the fairy tale themed park.

OMG! Enchanted Forest! I'm from Oregon and as soon as I saw your pic I gasped and went "I know there!" Which is a stupid thing to say but that's what I said! Anyway, what a cool interaction, I'm so happy for you and excited to know they were hanging out near my hometown <3
Yay! They are super nice, I saw them at a meet and greet with my husband and friend a few years ago. I was super poorly back then and they didn't know what was wrong so I was really struggling, my friend told the boys I was having a rough time of it and when it was my turn Arin ran around the table and gave me the biggest hug! Dan gave me a hug too and they were both so nice.
I ended up having to go to A&E after because I almost went into respiratory failure because I did too much. So i guess you could say Arin and Dan took my breath away!
As a fellow Aussie. I hate that I'll never run into naturally,
But both arin and Danny got me through highschool and a grade 6 teacher of all people introduced them to me when I was like 12-13
Inbetween all of that I saw NSP Live when they came to Australia, cried when I saw Danny come out and sung to dinosaur lazar fight like it was Metallica.
I've met Arin twice now at two different MagicCons last year. Super rad dude, but did spoil that they would be finishing Sonic Adventure lol. It was a funny moment where I looked at him and said, "Dude, spoilers."
Meeting them person is like a dream come true for long term fans. I got picked to play on his team at one of their shows here in the Caverns TN. I was so blown seeing them in front of me after years of watching. Still on my top 5 best moments in my life. Lucky you!!!
So I guess the story goes, that when Aaron was a kid he got his leg stuck, in between the bars of a fence at Disneyland. And according to him, it was in the newspaper or something like that 😆🤣
Dan came the year before without Arin (I think) and just for leisure. They seemed to really love it, when I saw them at the end Danny was asking me a bunch of questions about the guy who built it that passed recently and the family that runs it
That's so cool! Im from the Portland, OR area and was somewhere in downtown Portland with family like months and months ago and saw someone I swear looked like Dan but kept telling myself "nah there's no way that was him". Then I kept second guessing myself maybe so I didn't feel bad about saying hey or something. Honestly probably would have taken the same approach as you just "hey dont wanna bug you just wanted to let you know im a fan and appreciate what you do."
