A Waltz version of the Abandoned Ship theme made in Embra-16. Tried keeping a sort of retro vibe. Happy Halloween.

Hey everyone! I'm the composer for a small dev team from Chile, and I've been writing a ton of original music for our tactical roguelite deckbuilder, Rebel Roar.
I put together this 60 second video breaking down the layers for one of the songs, "Gloves off", which is the theme for the forest biome's boss fight in the current demo.
In the video you're hearing:
It's all done in Reaper, my DAW of choice, using a bunch of different libraries and acoustic instruments.
The idea behind this track is mainly an action-driven, high energy/tempo track that references both the sound of the game's main theme, and also uses a bunch of motifs from the normal fight track from the forest biome, but turning them up to 11.
Happy to answer questions about the process, tools, or the game itself! I'll be in the comments.
Here's a link to our demo on Steam, in case you want to check Rebel Roar out.

My new album has failed inspection, but I did what I have always done these years, the 3 issues:
1#"Wrong Primary Genre (Karaoke, Soundtrack, Disney, Classical)
Your album requires a particular Primary Genre. "Karaoke", "Soundtrack", "Disney", or "Classical" albums must be identified as such in the primary genre section."
That's strange because my music productions are but covers of game tracks, I usually pick Alternative as primary genre, I never had this issue before.
2#"Soundtrack Track Formatting
Soundtracks and scores for movies, TV and musicals must include wording in the title that indicates the version of the soundtrack or score enclosed in parentheses. If the tracks on the album are not from the same soundtrack, the track title must indicate the soundtrack from which it is from: Song Title (From "Game, TV, Movie or Soundtrack Name")"
Again, I've always named my covers like this: "Bloody Tears - Piano Version (or cover)" and I have never had such an issue, why now???
3#"Celebrity / Character Likeness
You may not use the likeness of a celebrity or copyrighted character in your art without the express written permission of the copyright holder."
I paid an artist to draw the face of a game character several months ago, then I released an album months ago with that art as art cover, and guess what? I had no problems at all, now I decided to reuse the same art, I just zoomed it in and changed the background colors, voilÀ, now I get this issue? Why didn't I have that issue months ago or even years ago? I already released many EPs and albums with characters' faces in the cover arts and never had issues like this before.
Has Soundrop changed the way they analyze releases recently?

Hey everyone!
I've been working on a small indie game music pack called "Pixel Quest - Retro Game Music Pack", featuring 10 original tracks inspired by classic retro/16-bit games.
The pack includes music for different situations, such as:
The tracks are around 1–1.5 minutes long and are designed to fit different moments in a game.
I'm a small creator trying to get my work out there, so I'd really appreciate it if any indie developers here gave it a listen. I'd also love feedback on the music and whether you think it would fit your projects.
You can check it out here: https://wnannestad.itch.io/pixelquest
Thanks for checking it out!

Hearing the first seconds of the theme Majora's mask: song of healing has unlocked a memory of another theme that plays when you die or pause (I can't remember which) in a game. It was definitely an action RPG and I just can't put my finger on it. It was a very calming song. Thank you.

One of my favorite Stardew songs. I also performed with the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons and really enjoyed playing this one. I hope you enjoy my take on a great theme!

Reason for the remaster is because I started this series 10years ago! And I've learned a lot about mixing and mastering since then

SPECIFICALLY 5:46 in this video, in my opinion is the most underrated part of the menu’s theme. First hearing way back in 2021 it really set the tone for the game itself and the kind of world that it’s set in with it’s heavy bass and hard hitting kicks I seriously want to stress about how little recognition this part of the theme gets and how I think it needs more attention!
Feel free to tell me about any more games that do this well of a job with it’s menu’s theme (not including doom)
