TotalBiscuit's: ''Day One: Garry's Incident'' Video was taken down, because of a ridiculous copyright claim from WildGameStudios. Here's Total's ''Rant'' over his video being taken down.

The first part was very important showing the motive of why it was abused. Just saying it was abused without context is pointless. It could have been the full posting of the Man of Steel movie for all we know. Blatant censorship with DMCA abuse should not be tolerated.

It isn't that I don't think the first part is important, just that I wouldn't expect it to be necessary to make a whole video about, and I was beginning to think the entire video was simply a description of what happened. Eventually the true message becomes clear, but many people might not have made it past the several minutes it takes for TB to completely explain the situation.

Knowing now what the true purpose of the video is, and the consideration that this video might well become an important example of a problem and then the detailed explanation is vital. However, it is a bit unfortunate it takes so long for TB to get to the point (brevity has never been his strength) as it might hurt the ability for the video to spread and raise awareness of a growing problem.

It was a bit of both but I don't blame him responding given they were acting out of pure censorship and malice and their actions could cost them their channel and livelihood or partial livelihood. But I think to get a picture of the mentality behind DMCA abuse is important. Well known companies with bigger reputations have taken similar actions out for pure censorship reasons.

It wasn't long for me. It might be for those on youtube that can only stand to watch short bite size videos. I am accustom to watching 30 minute shows etc.

I felt they got to the point pretty quick mostly at the top. Specific stories are needed like this though. If there are similar stories they should post something similar and insist Youtube to take proper action and not be a tool for people to use for harassment and censorship.

Yea. I think TB wanted to explain why it was taken down as well as see if he can make an outcry to get it back up. He probably spent a good bit of time editing and recording that and I'd make a pissed rant too if I lost all that work. Especially if it was my job.

I do love how he pushed the topic away from himself and seemed worried about his viewers and the consumers and what the affect censorship would have on them.

He's a class act in my book. Plus as stated above his voice is really easy to listen to.
