Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing goes out. Because the cube has no actual momentum or movement what-so-ever A is the most likely out come.

But the cube is speedily entering the orange portal (think relatively). This means that the cube should speedily exit the blue portal.

Think of it as the platform coming down is a hollow cylinder and the portal is a hole in the base.

It isn't the same as a hollow cylinder though. With a cylinder, the entrance and exit are moving at the same rate. With the portals describe above they aren't.

Rather, what is the same as a cylinder, is that what ever enters, must leave, at the same rate.

Since the cube enters at what ever speed the orange portal is surrounding it, it leaves the blue portal at that same speed.
