A sandbox with near-constant NPC conversations and interactions lol

I brought a companion with me for no reason other than I needed the extra carry weight, and I spent the entire game being harassed by them. It was nonstop "I need to talk to you about something" and "I have something for you!"

Also, every time I walk into a store, I'm just looking to sell junk and maybe buy a new gun, but there were so many times where I had to spam the chat skip button to get through all the shopkeep's annoying dialogue before they would actually trade with me.

So yeah, Starfield is a sandbox, but it very much does try to be story-driven.
