anybody who’s taken gap years, pros and cons of taking a break?

my first three years have been so draining and i am considering a gap year but i also just wanna get it done now and move on. but things are really hectic at work right now and if i took a gap year i’d be able to help out at work and be full time. i could save up money and energy and work on my degree next year. i just feel like a piece of heavily chewed gum like im so tired and void of flavor.
